This is one of those times when one wants to yell "Just get a room, you two!" at the characters on view -- and then you realise that they've got one. It's just as well that they're both straight, or their solid friendship would rapidly devolve into Yuki/Sonya-style deranged hatefucks.

(Yeah, solid friendship. We've seen it, and anyhow, you need to be a good friend to let that "pity" line slide.)

Anyhow, the pieces are now slotting into place for a comedy set-piece. I wonder if Tess's line about a religious upbringing will come back via Maura to resurrect a detail in Gary's history that we haven't seen mentioned since volume 1? Probably not; I have the impression that Giz and Dave decided to bury that question.

(Though I'd love to see a series of epilogue strips, after all these comics have finished, in which we see the reality of various characters' home towns and parents.)

Not 100% sure on that one. Can't find it in the archive (can't locate the archive lol) but iirc, the failed foursome had Gary behind Peggy with Matt in the front of her... in one of the pictures. Without having more definitive proof, could have been anal... could have been DVP... could have been lending a hand for support. Considering how excited Peggy was at the prospect of 2 men with her, I'm leaning more towards something more 'actual' sexual. Also, she doesn't mind giving anal; makes sense that she shouldn't have any double standard in receiving if done right.

My $50 is that it is a wash - they both are right. How Maura will bring that up on their date in order to win for $50 should prove entertaining. She won't let it drop, since she is competitive by nature, and is just as equally poor at planning/subtlety. I could definitely see a threesome evolving out of this date just because Maura is going to want to win her bet with Tess. If she's lucky, maybe even broaden her horizons with some' back door' specialists.
