I'd say the bet might be a bit of a toss up. We know Gary has been on the receiving end with Peggy, but I've never been certain if that was by actual preference or the fact that Peggy wants to do it and Gary seems utterly incapable of saying no to people when it comes to sexual matters.

I think it's still too early to guess what the bookend is going to be. As for Gary taking it up the ass and giving it in the ass he's already taken it up the ass via pegging from Peggy and before that he gave it to Senna in the ass. Speaking of which, I wonder if Senna will ever return to the comic because I found her character very entertaining. We still have at least 3 more volumes after this one so I'm hopeful.

She might be more like to show up in SotR. Still, she might decide to make use of Matt again, or to check if Gary is still being stupid.

Incidentally, a thought on this plotline... At the moment, it's shaping up to be a simple farce of social errors - a bit stereotyped, even, as Gary himself has lampshaded. There's nothing wrong with that, really, but this comic is usually prone to subverting stereotypes a very little (it's a classic-form sex comedy in which people actually have sex, after all), and it is said to be finite duration; there's character development going on that has to move forward. So I'm wondering if anyone will come out of it with a new relationship or at least a new view of things.

Well currently I think the most likely outcome would be Gary and Maura unless Gary attempts the classic "juggling dates" routine and everything crashes down. Peggy has said she isn't interested in a relationship and she seems a decent enough sort to bow out if Gary looked to be moving forward with someone else, especially if she is just going to the movie as a friend.

There is a chance that she could end up feeling differently about Gary along the way, but I kind of hope that doesn't happen since having her become another person who maybe does / doesn't want to be with Gary seems like it would just muddy the waters.

Of course who knows what will happen if the movie turns out to be a popular venue for the evening. Quite a few possible people and reactions could result.

And then there is the chance this will just end up being a case of Gary trying to be Archie and juggle two girls at once with "hilarious consequences" and ultimately failing. He seemed to be having a great deal of luck in the romance department, so maybe this the other side of the coin coming down.

I doubt that we'll be seeing anyone else at the cinema. It would have been set up by now, and the current situation is comedically complicated enough.

And I doubt that we'll ever see Peggy develop serious feelings for Gary. I rather hope not, actually. One of the better running jokes in this comic is that Gary's loose harem has a whole load of different feelings about him. We have the crazy obsessive one, the cool one in denial, the one who wants to use him to fix her own issues, the sexy one who got bored with him, the friend who he likes but who friendzones him, the idol on another continent who'll give him a date if she's passing, the egomaniac mini-celeb who assumes that she has rights to everyone, and so on. Peggy is the smart, together, practical one who thoroughly enjoys purely pragmatic FWB shagging and who he can talk to because she isn't looking for more. That's a good niche to have filled, and I'd hate to see it abandoned.
