Gary might be feeling smug right now but remember he was feeling pretty good after he had his first time with Kiley and that got yanked away later in the same day so be prepared for that to happen to Gary yet again. I could see a bunch of drama be awaiting Gary at his work or at the comic shop or somewhere else.

Considering that he just had sex with someone he considered unattainable within seconds of meeting her I seriously doubt he'll be that heartbroken if this was his one and only chance. He's certainly grown accustomed to it.

Both of them are still not making the connection that Zii has got it bad for Didi. I think Gary thinks that Didi went to Gary on Zii's suggestion... borderline wingman-like. I think that Gary, while rightly upset, also just realized he has now made it on the map sexually. Once his burgeoning ego gets out of the way - probably by Didi bursting it by stating that Gary too did not give her an orgasm despite the six-plus hours of marathon sex - more introspection & investigation is required.

I doubt that will injure his ego that much considering all the men she's been with. Matt couldn't get her to orgasm so that puts him on par with him.

Let's face it, Gary has previously goinked a cute co-ed, a hot waitress, an international fashion model, a sexy nurse, and a manga-style Japanese girl. He's basically working his way through some kind of nerd porn catalogue; adding the sex queen of Montreal to the list should strictly speaking just be the icing on the cake.

But it's DiDi. So it's a damn thick layer of chocolate frosting.

But there's some feeling of guilt there, and I think that is a place that Gary could begin to leverage teaching Didi how to be a better/more considerate person.

Gary isn't a natural teacher, and DiDi is a useless student.

See, here's another reason that I don't feel sorry for Zii. Gary raises a good point, that Didi used him. (and then tried to use the now absent Zii) But she did that because Zii put the idea in her head. And the reason why she did, was because Zii was trying to use Didi's vulnerability to get into her pants. So really this is a case of Zii's manipulation horribly backfiring on her.

"You can have sex with friends out of a sudden surge of passionate desire, but if you want emotional support at a bad moment, you shouldn't ask your friends - you should turn to a stranger." Isn't that almost the wrong way round? What are friends for?

I think it depends. The difference in being supported and using someone I think, is that she would do the same for Gary if the roles were reversed. But I'm betting if Gary tried to go to Didi for rebound sex, she'd reject him immediatly. So this is definately a case of Gary being used.
On a seperate note, this is the first time I've seen Gary get angry about anything. Could this be a symptom of him actually growing a spine? I would love it if Gary would be the one to call out Didi. Allthough to be honest, she'll probably just dissolve into tears, immediatly causing him to get guilty and retract what he said.

Sure, but remember that canonically, Didi can almost literally get any man -- or woman -- she wants. Given that, were she to choose you, even if you ultimately turn her down it would have to at least serve as a point of pride.
