Go for it Gary! Maura may not be all that smarter than Sonya, but she's not a dramasexual.

... compared to everything
Maura's not that bad of choice for Gary
Yeah she's a bit dim.... it could be sooo much worse

She and Gary would be pretty cute together.

Re: 18-03-17 One problem though
The snag with dating Maura (aside from the fact that, no, she isn't the sharpest spoon in the box) would be the permanent presence of a third party in the relationship. Not that Tess is an entirely bad person, and if this actually meant threesomes, then, way hay, standard male fantasy yadda yadda - but if Gary really does want a serious relationship sometime, it could feel like a divided focus.
Now, a fling with Maura, with or without Tess, wouldn't be the worst thing that's happened to Gary. She's cute and not actually insane. Though unleashing the swirly on a woman with wrestling-toned thighs always seems like a risk.

Ace is basically the EC expy of Gary, so it would be interesting for him to meet Lynn and Lina. I wonder if there's a wrestling expy of Ace?

Ace really isn't much like Gary. He's a regular guy type with ordinary tastes (who just happens to be a werewolf). Gary is a total geek with negligible (though improving) social skills.
All they really have in common is that they're fairly harmless, have reasonable manners, and are occasionally somewhat unlucky. But Ace rolls through his bad luck because he's generally got his head together, whereas Gary brings a lot of his bad luck on himself, and although it's balanced by shedloads of insanely good luck, is somewhat prone to self-pity.

I can't help but think it would be less "threesome" and more "you take care of my BFF afterward".Spidrift wrote:The snag with dating Maura (aside from the fact that, no, she isn't the sharpest spoon in the box) would be the permanent presence of a third party in the relationship. Re: 18-03-17 One problem though
You know I was pretty sure Gary had said something a while back along the lines of wanting a more serious relationship, so it might be a refreshing change of character for him to say no once in a while instead of being pulled into another fling.
I actually had a random thought that it might be kind of funny for his brain to finally catch up on all the recent Zii interactions that seemed to be flying over his head, and for the resulting confusion to be the catalyst for him saying no or the fling not happening (not that it would necessarily lead to anything at the moment).
It would also be interesting to see if his apparent "smoothness" remained if he was actually "pursuing" Zii, since it sort of seemed more a result of him not trying and just being himself.

Gary did indeed say that he was kind of hoping for a more serious relationship - but that was while in the process of not saying No to Peggy. He's an obliging soul, and Maura seems nice and cute, and he's still technically unattached. I wouldn't bet on him saying No right now.

I don't know. I'd imagine it'd be more like Psyche (TV Series), with a gender reversal. Tess would be the BFF that is attached to Maura and staying with them both, until Tess (who may have a lot more relationship issues) finds someone, who even then, Maura and Tess will be BFF forever.Zippy wrote:I can't help but think it would be less "threesome" and more "you take care of my BFF afterward".Spidrift wrote:The snag with dating Maura (aside from the fact that, no, she isn't the sharpest spoon in the box) would be the permanent presence of a third party in the relationship. Another show may be like Scrubs (TV Series) JD and Turk.

I don't know, Maura and Tess did have a fantasy about Dio giving them both massages.

It is now my personal headcanon that Maura and Tess are in fact quite happy to have threesomes but basically act like they should be carried out with the MFF equivalent of this.
'I like Maura/Tess and threesomes are cool if everyone's having fun BUUUUUUTTTTT'
'I like Maura/Tess and threesomes are cool if everyone's having fun BUUUUUUTTTTT'
More often than not people fail to see the entirety of the issue, and focus on a single facet of it.
