It doesn't feel right. Now, Didi might be lamenting/crying over never being able to have an orgasm again. I can definitely envision weeping and gnashing of teeth and hair pulling. And since Zii & Gary are (now) apparently competent lovers (including rumors of such) I suppose it is possible that the subject might come up. Gary's empathy/peer pressure could cave in. And Zii, well, we know Zii desperately wants to make love to Didi. So far though, I don't know if either of them have the devotion to make Didi orgasm. I know they both could physically do it, but can either of them reach her emotionally? Not sure. Zii is too self-absorbed not to mention too pent up right now. Gary is still too inexperienced in the emotional side of sex, let alone still being a dork at romance.

But her own self-image would be bruised at falling for him and/or being seen with him in that way. Although I am certain Amber wouldn't mind, the friends that Zii has aren't like Gary at all (save for that internet troll, and that is using the term 'friend' quite loosely). And then there is the Yuki/Gary subject, which could go amazingly well or shitballs maniacally.

I think that this is entirely a pseudo-guilt thing, not a shame thing. Zii really can't be worried about the judgement of her friends here; most of them seem either to have banged him already or to have tried to get into his pants. But Zii combines a self-image as a too-cool-for-school rock chick with a view of Gary as a dorky kid brother. It's her own view of herself that she's worried about, not anyone else.

I imagine that Gary has great respect for certain genre traditions. Could he even allow himself to recognise somebody who he's seen masked? The ghosts of Zorro, Clark Kent, and El Santo would curse him forever.

Zii going 'OMG OMG SINGLE DIDI SINGLE DIDI MUST ENGAGE IN (technically not) COITUS UNINTERRUPTUS" would serve as the perfect break to her supposed flirting with Gary *but*...

Despite my lack of sympathy for Zii as a character at this point she does seem to have some level of care for her friendships and always expressed a comforting and friendly side of herself to people who just suffered from breakups, so for some reason I just can't see her pulling *that* off.

I guess we'll find out soon enough if Zii will still try to make another run at Didi despite Zii's character development. I'm betting that Zii will try to make another run at Didi only to fail but then Zii will look to Gary for some pity sex for a touch of irony. And no I did not mean that Gary and Zii would literally run into Kiley with the van because that would be too much of a serious turn for this comic. I meant that as Gary and Zii are getting out of the van after parking it in front of the apartment they catch Kiley as she is slamming the door and running down the front steps.

No. She's finding him attractive because he's a tall, slim, good-looking guy with, she understands, an uncanny gift for oral sex. That, in her mind, is the opposite of the Gary she knows; a hopeless geek who she can patronise as a kid brother figure.

The problem is cognitive dissonance caused by a narrow world-view; it's perfectly possible for your hopelessly geeky (metaphorical) kid brother to be tall, slim, and good looking, and maybe even to be a maestro with the mouth music.(Though Gary is insanely lucky with his looks, metabolism, and oral gifts.) For comparison, Sonya previously ran into the problem that Gary was all these things at once (though she'd never actually treated him as a brother figure), eventually decided that the sex appeal didn't compensate for the hopeless geekiness for her, and dumped him. Senna tried to ignore the dissonance, and stuff crashed and burned. Kiley and Yuki both quite liked the idea of a sweet geek who's also a sex god, but the sort of women who want hopeless geeks as such turn out to have their own issues.

If this current UST actually turns into a relationship, Zii will have to decide what to do about the geekiness. She could try to change him, but my own guess us that they'll bring Yuki into the relationship to bring balance to the farce.

Did anyone else notice how Zii's pupils were:
A) normal size in the 1st panel where it looks like they just left the restaurant and she thought she was safely leaving the sexual tension behind
B) 2/3 size in the second panel when she is thinking about how she had imagined having sex with Gary back in the restaurant
C) pinpoints in the 3rd when Gary mentions the mattress and you can now tell her mind is painting a VERY vivid picture of her and Gary on that mattress? I am also surprised she was not bending the steering wheel when he said that.
