Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Just a word to you about Didi: Obssessionworldshaking00 wrote:Kiley came over to Didi/Gary/Zii's apartment. She had all the power then.Spidrift wrote: Because DiDi will not allow her to. DiDi has massive force of personality reinforced by massive delusions. Kiley needs to break those delusions to get out of this intolerable situation.
Kiley: "Gee, Didi. Thanks for letting me squeeze between your cleavage. The therapy helped me overcome my own self-insecurity, a bit. I am glad I was able to help you reach orgasm, and hopefully I helped teach you how to achieve an emotional level capable of allowing you to reach said orgasm. I sense you are too emotionally attached to me, transferring misplaced love onto me. My bringing you to orgasm was therapy for you - not love. I am sorry for not stopping this sooner when you were thinking I was your lesbian girlfriend. I don't love you. I used you as a therapeutic aid. I am aspiring to become a psychologist; our relationship is unethical if I keep allowing your transference to continue, and for me to be selfishly thinking of my own insecurities by taking advantage of you. Please take this as my telling you that our therapy - and that is all it was - is now over." <Turn and walk away, maybe booking time at the ranch.>
Or barring something so verbose, the stereotypical "It's not you. It's me." As I said before though, these options and ones similar don't lend themselves to as much comedic mischief as we have been treated to.
I grant you, Didi is an amazon. Kiley might have a self-preservational reason to keep Didi happy. But we've seen nothing to indicate that she'd expect Didi to get violent. Kiley dug herself into this hole by looking at Didi just for her bosom {like just about everyone in Ma3 - don't feel too bad Kiley}, and it is her poor decisions that have placed her into the intolerable situation. Now if Kiley is able to take her newfound wrestling knowledge and blend it somehow into how their therapy-relationship actually is (and how Kley is not her lover but her therapist) then I guess it I can forgive her actions, mostly. I still wouldn't have done this with an audience in the house - very poor manners & potential distractions to the actual healing process (e.g. peer pressure in the form of Maura/Tess & embarrassment to name a few).
Didi had since the begining of the comic an obssession about having a orgasm. Time and time again she didnt reach an orgasm, even with a woman (remember that one time with peggy?), and then... Miracle!!!... Kiley go and manage to make Didi reach an orgasm...
Since then Didi have deluded herself that Kiley is the true person for her. That delusion most probably will not allow Kiley to simple walk away as you described. Deluded people must be confronted with their delusions before they can get out of it and one of the ways to do that is to force the individual to re-think their values and concepts... in this case Didi's suposed feelings towards Kiley.

Kiley/Didi couple is best couple.
Hope Kiley apologizes later for being teasie-meanie.

DiDi's obsessions also give her incredible force of personality. Kiley has found it literally impossible to break up with her because of that. The point of this scene is that Kiley has found a way to disrupt that obsessive force, and hence end the clusterfuck of a "relationship". Fortunately, she's accomplishing this with no more damage than some transient DiDi tears.

Has Kiley really tried, though? I mean, she'll meet up with Didi with good intentions (ok, dubious useage there, but let's just assume such) to be therapeutic rather than faux-lesbian lover. I fully admit, Kiley gets swept up in the Didi-storm and invariably gets stuck performing for Didi's satisfaction. She seems either too meek to combat Didi's transference issues, or to polite to stop her, or too traumatized by her cleavage and tries to make the best of the situation (for her own insecurity needs).
Sure - I'll go with Kiley using her wits, finding a lever (wrestling) to start to pry Didi loose. Doesn't have to be a magic wand. I just think that Didi's hold isn't impossible to break, even by using conventional means I alluded to before, and especially for a potential psych candidate. But then, comedy takes things to extremes I guess, in order to get a chuckle.
I just hope it doesn't backfire into Kiley's face and Didi gets Kiley into the wrestling gym.

How the heck should anyone here know? We live in the wrong universe.worldshaking00 wrote:Has Kiley really tried, though?
(Well, three people here may know; two writers and an editor. But they have wisely chosen not to enter this conversation.)
As the clusterfuck has continued until now, however, we may deduce that if Kiley has tried, it hasn't worked. As Kiley is mostly depicted as a sane and fairly likeable character, I choose to think that we're not meant to see her as a terrible person who'd rather hurt DiDi than let her down more lightly. If you insist on seeing her as a terrible person, though, feel free.

It also seems to me that Kiley is using her psychology lessons/tests more like a weapon on Didi. Those don't look like sweat drops on Didi's face - that's tears folks.
I'm pretty sure those are sweat drops... like, those drops are drawn much further back than it would've been had it come down the corner of her eyes...

I'm now trying to imagine a wrestling promotion with characters based on regulars from these boards.
Well, I'd find it more amusing than all the EC/MC expies, anyway.

Not attacking from the dark, just faciliating her alter-ego's "unauthorised" entrance in the ring. Slip away from the boss's side into the nearest empty hallway to switch costumes, then hit the lights and get up in the rafters for a zipline entrance.Honestly, it's like you don't even remember that you were there last time we spun this little headcanon.vampire hunter D wrote:I dunno, atracking in the dark doesnt seem Diana's style. With the nebulous stretches of time, I agree that we don't 100% know. We just have to go on what we've seen in the strip. WYSIWYG. I recall it that Kiley doesn't love Didi, but keeps helping her because she's not been not given a graceful way out due to Didi wanting to woo her one way or another (e.g. surprise cakes, sweet talk, nearly jumping her bones) as well as for Kiley's own continued self-therapy. To Kiley, it is clinical jilling Didi off and that is the price Kiley has to pay for her own therapy. Undoubtedly, Didi is smothering her. There might even be some emotional pangs of Kiley dumping Matt thrown into Kiley's decisions too. Wrestling might be a way to distract Didi so Kiley can ninja-vanish. Kiley could have chosen instead to support Didi's wrestling obsession and suggest she go hog-wild over it; it's possible that could have allowed Kiley to escape Didi.Spidrift wrote:How the heck should anyone here know?
