I don't care much for wrestling, so it's not my jam. But the main annoyance is the fake Kiley/Didi relationship. It's been going on for how many years in real-world time because it feels like forever. It started funny, then became sad, and now I rather wait for the arc to pass like the Tracy/Gary arc. There is no resolution with either, and that's a real problem.

I know enough about wrestling that this arc hasn't left me entirely high and dry, but I would like some actual progress on the Kiley/Didi arc or a change to a different flavor of ice cream for a bit. Zii and Gary's "date" is tempting because it's been building up background for quite some time now. Meanwhile Kiley isn't even trying to get through to Didi. I get Didi operates on her own logic and that can be hard to deal with, but ffs it's starting to drag on just a bit.

Interestingly, Kiley getting subbed in for Gary in "explaining" to Didi what an orgasm was makes even more sense on a variety of levels to me than it did already. Beyond Gary being the eternal butt monkey, which is the same old song and dance, it wouldn't be any healthier a relationship for Gary than it is for Kiley, but of the two in that situation Kiley has more to gain character development wise. Gary's been getting the walking orgasm producer treatment for quite some time now, adding Didi to the line wouldn't benefit him much. Kiley having to confront her issues in the most direct way humanly possible short of being drowned by Hitomi Tanaka* while listening to those "Boost Yourself Confidence" tapes AND progress as a therapist by breaking through to a woman who very much operates in a different architecture from the rest of us.

*To save some of you a google, Hitomi Tanaka is a Japanese pornstar famous for her huge... tracts of land. One of her stage names is Hitomi J-cup (US H, Euro J) if that gives you some sense of scale.

Alas the title of this strip reflects how I'm feeling about the comic right now.

I more or less feel the same. I LIKE the Didi becoming a wrestler plotline well enough, but the Kiley/Didi "relationship" just feels like a disservice to both characters at this point. It makes Didi look more out of touch with human relationships than ever before, and makes Kiley out to be an enabler who has yet to justify why she hasn't set Didi straight regarding that she was not actually confessing love to her back then, or why she is basically continuing to lie by omission by indulging this fake relationship.
