I like it, mainly because the EC characters, i just don't like it as much as the other stories...

I think in general people either didn't mind or were enjoying the wrestling arc - I think where the downshift in opinion started was when we went multiple arcs without even seeing some of the cast like Zii. She, in particular, is a cheery sight for the eyes because we were jumping between the Peggy stories and wrestling stories for practically a year, introducing new characters, new motivations, running alongside separate comics (one of which closed its doors) and all throughout this nobody quite knew wtf happened to Zii other than she would appear for half a chapter to panic about sex then disappear again in a wave of strapons and suplexing lesbians. Not to mention its actually been a pretty shocking amount of time that the 3 menage a 3 of Zii, Gary, and Didi were actually in the same room and did anything of note.

So while I love the wrestling arc, think Kiley is endearing, Peggy is awesome, Sonya and Yuki are my OTP, and think Gary is a strong independent man capable of 100% making his own choices and is a successful right headed dude... I did quite miss Zii, and would like to gorge on her gorgeous hair for awhile.

What other controversial things can I say that wont get me in too much trouble with Don... something something Yuki's boobs Gary kiley condom. There, that should do it.

I don't think that many people strongly disliked the wrestling story from the start (though I may be projecting). I mean, DiDi isn't the most interesting of the leads, and suddenly introducing two or three significant new characters, while running gags that required a knowledge of wrestling, wasn't the most instantly broadly appealing option - but we could live with that stuff.

But then it went on and on and on, pulling in yet more new characters whose sole reason for existing was as references to Eerie Cuties. On top of which, it followed on the Tracy camshow story, which wasn't Ma3's finest hour itself (and also didn't feature Zii). So the whole thing seemed to be turning into a protracted mess, excluding some popular characters while bringing in new ideas of highly specific, restricted interest.

Anyhow, hooray, we've got away from that now, and we're back to soap-opera stories about desire and jealousy. One just hopes they continue interestingly a while.

I actually stopped reading these comics for a while and came back last week. We all can see that taking paying jobs obviously has to take priority but I really think that the writing has suffered. It used to be that there was a variety of characters doing a variety of things but now it has become all-lesbians-all-the-time and that just isn't interesting to me. I didn't hate the wrestling arc but it needed something other than the lesbian thing to be the main focus. There was no other way in which those characters were developed and I am part of the group that thinks that new characters really didn't need to be introduced. I'm also not loving the art on the other two. SotR is bearable but it's hard to even look at DC'sTeddi with her fish/clown lips, etc. Granted it's a comic about an absentee demon (was that where Zii was?) but it has gone way too dark for a comedy. I'll probably continue reading it for now, but it's hard to even look at the preview frame for that one. All I keep thinking is that the pheromones need to be pretty powerful for anyone to find that attractive, sorry.

I'm with you! I really liked the wrestling storyline, I just want to see Didi, Gary, and Zii more equally! Rather than mostly Didi...and some Gary...Zii....almost non-existant here

I have to say, Suzi is improving with age. She used to just be a horny hobbit, and now she's a borderline gothy young lady. Long hair - and a more mature face - suit her very well.

Mind you, the thing here is Zii's uncertainty, not the facts. Going for a coffee with someone isn't automatically a date. If it was, Zii's been on a date with Ruby.

Zii knows perfectly well that DiDi's girlfriend is Kiley. They had a conversation about it (which drove Zii nuts). No, Zii's shock is because she may actually be kind of on a date with Gary.

(Bonus problem; Zii being Zii, her dates tend to end up in bed. A girl who didn't usually go bed with guys on the first date wouldn't be half so traumatised by finding herself on one date with a guy she didn't much fancy.)

Bar scenes here tend to end up as drunk scenes. We actually get a few bar scenes, but no, these characters do seem oddly averse to having one-drink sociable meetings in bars.

But they're not usually teetotal. Gary was established as being geekily unaccustomed to booze, but even he wasn't shocked to realise that he'd got drunk, and willingly helped Sandra raid Domenico's drinks cabinet a day later. Otherwise, I can remember Zii, Erik, Sandra, DiDi, Amber, Dillon, Sonya, Ray, and Senna all drinking, just off the top of my head.
