I've had the impression for a while that Ma3 is a more commercially successful comic than EC and MC, though I may be wrong on that. If it is, though... Does turning Ma3 into a string of in-jokes about a less well-known comic really seem like a good idea to anybody? Especially as this means suddenly introducing a whole swathe of new characters, when the old ones still have more dangling threads than a cheap clothes warehouse?

Sigh. I don't begrudge Giz a decent living, but with SDB dead and Ma3 no longer the comic I fell in love with (and clearly being written largely by Dave01), it's hard not to feel sad.

then again, that second part could be an indication of how Melli gets along with Brooke. I know Lissa probably still hates Brooke (even without Ace being the point of contention), but Melli may not be as petty and vindictive.

btw, how do Twin Magic get along with the Women's champion?
Their names are Alyssa and Elyssa though.

Personally I think it is okay since it allows these characters fans to sort of see them back in all new adventures even if they are counter parts to the EC/MC/DC characters.

You apparently missed the bit where I said that the fans of those characters may be fewer in number than fans of the old Ma3.

I guess that my personal problem here is my inability to give much of a sh*t about the EC/MC characters. But as a commercial decision, it seems highly dubious. And if the quality and reliability of Ma3 is dropping because its lack of profitability makes it less important than other options for the creators, making it appealing to fewer people seems tantamount to loading it on the truck for the knacker's yard.

(Significant Example: Is Ruby supposed to be a doppelganger for Helen Tomalin of Penny & Aggie? You could say that there's a personality resemblance, though not at all a close one... I think that's just how Giz tends to draw a downtrodden/resentful younger sister.)
Years ago when both Penny & Aggie and Menage a 3 were active there was a plot involving Nathan, Amber, and Dillon where his secretary Helena came over to bring some contracts and I noticed the similar name and appearance. I was told it wasn't a doppleganger, but after Zi's porn film that featured 3 guys that looked just like Jack, Stan, and Rich I considered it a possibility.

What can I say I am a sucker for the girls in glasses.
Actually, those 3 were doppelgangers. Because Stan appeared later for real in the comic with Lisa (and got kicked in the junk bu Yuki)

I think Didi fills the Chloe niche well enough. Now, a Pandora expy.....
The 2 dopplegangers from Dangerously Chloe I'd like to see is Charity and Prudence as the tag team Avenging Angels.

Isn't it easier to find Dangerously Chloe characters in Dangerously Chloe?

One thin excuse for shoveling EC/MC expies into Ma3 is that EC and MC are dead, so at least there's a blast of nostalgia for someone. That doesn't apply to DC.

Though if we're looking for blasts of nostalgia from dead comics, I'd rather see the SDB cast showing up in Ma3.

Giz posted this on Facebook.
Giz wrote: So it looks like Pixie Trix has enough material to print 4 volumes: Menage a 3 vol 8, Sticky Dilly Buns vol 2, Sandra on the Rocks vol 2, and Dangerously Chloe vol 2. We'll be doing a Kickstarter soon to help fund the printing of these books. As usual, we'll offer collector editions with postcards/posters. Anything else you'd like to see? Can't promise anything, but I'm always open to ideas.
And, yes, before you ask, Sticky Dilly Buns will return. I've just been really busy with outside gigs, but I'm getting there as to finding what kind of schedule I can put it on while still taking on outside gigs (sometimes, they're too hard to pass up!)
As for Ma3's plot, i agree, i like that the EC/MC characters are appearing here as adult wrestlers (i don't have a problem liking teen characters that look like adults because i know they are fictional, but i prefer them being actual adults instead of adult-looking) but we don't see the Gary-Zii-Didi dynamic anymore, i miss that, and i would prefer them advancing in other plots...

Honestly, I hope that all that Giz said there comes to pass, but things have got to the "I'll believe it when I see it" stage for me. We all know where good intentions serve as construction materials.

She is indeed a wonderful artist who could doubtless turn her hand to anything, but from what I've seen, I don't get the feeling that she's very interested in depicting some of those bits in all their wrinkly Lovecraftian glory.

True, but that doesn't mean I would still like to see Charity and Prudence as wrestlers. Perhaps if I should meet Ms. Lagace I could commission such a thing.

And seriously having wrestlers that look like Eerie Cuties and Magick Chick characters is a nice wink to everyone who used to read it. If you didn't then they are just outlandish looking characters which you could expect in pro wrestling. It affects the plot in no way whatsoever.
