So... On Earth 6, people who were vampires and monsters are wrestlers, apparently. That's just all there is to it.

Although they're not tagged I'm betting those are the Night Sisters.
Not quite a cameo appearance, but I like it as well as this current storyline over the previous one.

"Expies" is the geek term you're looking for.
Anyhow, we're back to another geek-comedy plotline, I see. One that may not have quite such a sense of marking time as the previous one, but still - no Zii, no Dillon, probably not much Giz involvement in the writing process. In fact, our household of three are, let's face it, now involved in three separate comics that happen to share a title and a Web page.

So the Night Sisters appeared... Lina and Mikayla are Ma3verse's Nina and Layla...
I wonder if they have a wrestler version of Melissa, Cerise and Jacqui... Please let there be a version of Faith and Tiffany.

That would make them fairly flat as characters. There is a noticeable difference.lordoffiling wrote:So... On Earth 6, people who were vampires and monsters are wrestlers, apparently. That's just all there is to it.
All of their 'sexual tick' and relationship characteristics so far have been tremendously magnified, or potentially flipped in some way.
Eerie Cuties' Brooke is bicurious but primarily in a relationship with a guy for most of the series. MA3's "Brooke" is either a lesbian or at a stage in her life where she vigorously chases after women over men.
Eerie Cuties' Laura and Cessily were two girls who very much wanted to be popular amongst the boys, and were very close to one another almost always sticking together. Maura and Tess (Or am I recalling the counterpart names wrong?) are so incredibly into attractive men they change their career choices because of meeting with one, and are actually immune to the Didi effect, while at the same time retaining their friendship to levels so immense they seem absolutely inseparable and could raise a few eyebrows. In fact, they are so close that when this 'Brooke' and Roxxie were revealed as lesbians people still massively complained about female wrestlers being lesbians being a stereotype.
Now, we could extrapolate similar tendencies to the new Nina and Layla imported versions. Nina is too innocent in Eerie Cuties to seriously understand flirting or innuendo, which may translate to this Nina being asexual. Nina is also the only girl who ever spent any time at all being genderbent; this may translate to this Nina being transgender and using wrestling to gather money for hormone therapy and sex reassignment surgery.
I have no idea what to make of Layla's potential quirks, though. And all of the above is obviously just observations and theories.
More often than not people fail to see the entirety of the issue, and focus on a single facet of it. I have never seen these character designs before, and am unsure how I feel about them.
This is getting out of hand.

I believe brasca meant they aren't tagged as the Night Sisters, so it remains possible that they are not, in fact, that team.Cortez wrote:Their names seem to be Lina and Makayla.brasca wrote:Although they're not tagged I'm betting those are the Night Sisters.

The name tags were added some time after the strip went up.
And while they aren't yet explicitly labelled as the Night Sisters, if that's not the intent, I'll eat a statistician.
And by the way, we note that Lynn has Maura tagged on her smartphone as "Sweet Tits". Which seems a little blunt and even cruel, somehow.

That phone tag is reasonably appropriate, if indicative of Lynn's personality. She might be not interested in serious relationships or just be an uncouth female version of Matt. Considering her fame, I seem to recall conversation in the past about Lynn not having steady relationships and making booty calls in whatever town her event is at.
At least we are back to Didi now, if a wrestling non-Kiley storyline. Someone needs to put out a missing person's report with the Montreal police department for Zii. She's been at the yaoi club FAR FAR too long.

Finally, back to the one story arc going I actually have interst in.
I think I did call it way back, the Night Sisters would turn out to be Nina and Layla (though, I'm surprised they didn't use BustyNina)

Now they have tags, but when I first looked it wasn't there so it must've been updated later.Cortez wrote:Their names seem to be Lina and Makayla.brasca wrote:Although they're not tagged I'm betting those are the Night Sisters.

So, will the MMAA be making a cameo too?
