A couple of question if you don't mind. How long do you think Ma3 will run? Do you have a ending planned. i'm not asking what the ending is, just if you have the story planned that far.

I noticed that some readers are in disagreement as to what kind strip Ma3 is. Could you clarify what classification Ma3 is?

do you plan on doing any comics after Eerie Cuties and Ma3?

And a question I personally want to ask. Your art is obviously better than most animated shows on tv. Do you ever plan on going to the bigtime and making a comic series or animated series. If not why so?

I know I may come off as a a-hole, but I mean well. This is one of my favorite strips and I'd kick a baby to be able draw this good.

We generally plan a few months ahead in regards to plot. The latest arc didn't have much to do with the plot, we just threw it in there 'cause we needed a short arc so that I could take some time off without having to break an arc in two. Clearly, it wasn't for everyone. I, personally, still stand by it. We didn't plan the ending of Ma3 because we want it to flow naturally. We want the characters to decide for themselves how it'll end. In regards to how long it'll run, that I don't know. I tend to reevaluate things in my life every 5 years. We'll see.

It's a comedy, bordering on the absurd. If there's drama, it's gotta be VERY little, 'cause most readers expect a joke or giggle with each update.

Yes.

Thank you for the compliment on the art. I'm not sure how someone plans to go bigtime. I don't seek it. If it happens, it's 'cause someone will have come to me/us. I got into comics to do comics, so that's what I do. I wouldn't say no to an animated version of EC or Ma3, but again, it'll happen if someone else wants it to happen.

I know I may come off as a a-hole, but I mean well. This is one of my favorite strips and I'd kick a baby to be able draw this good.

Practice. Practice. And no better way to do so than with drawing a comic. :)

So, when are you going to lock the "atta girl" discussion thread? Its pretty much degenerated into a pissing contest. Those defending the results of Zii's behaviors, irking those that are outraged by the consequences of Zii's behaviors, repeatedly. If I didn't know better, I'd say some new members that just showed up in this debate are... wait for it... trolling. Some of the posters are making it a point to laugh at the one's trying to explain why this arc was found to be reprehensible, and a few seem to be purposefully egging the discontented one's on, like a troll would. Ailith comes to mind as the most provoking poster in their scant 16 posts all in "atta girl" each eliciting a stronger response than the last. Others too, but I'm not in the mood to read back through that 15 page thread to see who else is trying to get a reaction out of others. And for the record, the mods already told people to tone it down once. None listened.

Wow, that may be a first. My own opinions aside, I have to applaud the last two strips just for the heavy discussion alone. :ymapplause:

Anyway! We shall speak no more of this.

Until Saturday.

I kinda hope not; it was getting pretty unruly in there.

Awww, I was enjoying myself. :(

Especially enjoying seeing the thread count reach unimaginable heights.

Also, I don't think anyone was really trolling. I've seen worse...

Still, the huge amount of discussion implies that people are invested into the comic. This is a good thing! :)

I guess the last thing I want to say about all this is that I'm sorry if I went too far with the story and what not. Apparently many others were able to find the issue hilarious and that's their personal taste, after all this is a humor site and everybody sees different things as being funny.

For me though, a lot of the discussion brought back memories and emotions that I hadn't really felt or worried about for a long long time, and the way those events were handled in this (ultimately pointless) story in a lot of ways felt like a slap in the face.

I love this comic and the art work and I want to continue to do so in the future, in relative harmony with everybody so one last time: I'm sorry if I went too far

Good Morning Everybody :)

This question goes out to Giz and it's one that's kind of tugged at my inner comic book nerd since I started reading this. Many people say that Gary is a DC expy in that he's modeled after Dick Grayson (what with the whole Nightwing stand-in thing and all). But to me, the glasses, clumsiness with women and his general inability to get very far with them seem more reminiscent of another DC heavy. Tell me, who else in the DCU wears glasses, seems cursed to be a bumbling klutz and also rocks the spit curl? Gary has always (in my eyes at least) had more in common with Superman (more like his alter-ego) than any other hero. Was he something of an influence, since you've stated on occasion that you're a DC geek and Clark Kent is (or was) essentially king of the DC geeks?

Sorry about the bad memories, Swiftwinged Doom. :( :ymhug:

Yes, I am a DC reader. However, I didn't intentionally model Gary after either Superman or Nightwing. Maybe it was my subconscious. It is kind of funny though when you think about it. :))

First, I want to apologize to Giz, Dave and everyone else here for my little anti-Zii post. I let those two comics become "serious business" for me.

I'll keep this brief, but here I go: my main peeve, and a petty one at that, with Zii is that she usually escapes the sort of humiliation or punishments endured by the other characters (in my opinion at least). It's like those old Tom and Jerry cartoons, where Jerry is usually the winner. I always liked the episodes where Jerry would "lose". Same goes for similar characters like Bugs Bunny or Norbert from Angry Beavers. I have no problems with Zii being an independent and proud young woman. Her lifestyle doesn't offend me. I dunno, I just can't stand characters who "win" all the time. Anyway, I'll drop it.

Here's my question: will Gary and Sandra ever get to meet each other? Formally? And possibly get to know each other better? They seem to have a lot in common! ;)

No immediate plans for a Gary & Sandra meet-up but I'm sure it'll happen... maybe sooner than we think. We'll see.

In regards to Zii, I'm sure she'll lose a few times... eventually. :)
