Ugh, typical Senna. Can't even realize how she made Sandra's life hell. : /

Way to revise history there Senna. But I'm not surprised, of course she'd make herself out as the "victim" of Sandra's "treachery". Hopefully Sandra herself gets the chance to set the record straight with Gary, though I suspect Sandra will do some revisionist retelling of her own, even if less blatantly than Senna.

I am amused at the way Gary giggles under Senna's affections in the first panel. Too bad he'll most likely not be able to go further once Senna gets naked - unless Senna gets him very very drunk first.

o0oh, that devious and evil sandra. the nerve of her, pretending to be mousy and flat-chested, just so she could stab the noble and heroic senna in the back.

Senna understands that you should always be the heroine in your own telenovela. And she knows that if reality doesn't provide enough drama, you simply add some.

Ooh, I do like Imaginary Sandra's Dark Clark Kent act. Sexy and evil (but sadly doubly non-existent).

Ah, c'mon. We already knew that Senna was a raging egomaniac. Nobody expected her to be a reliable narrator, did they?

Actually, it's become clear that she's as big a drama addict as Sonya, and more prepared to manufacture the drama for herself instead of demanding it from other people. Always a good plot driver, that one.

Honestly, who does expect reliable narrators? It's not like first-person accounts are reliable in reality. Senna just does it with panache.

Senna's tongue is indeed talented. Like most characters in this comic, she has an instinctive sense for people's erotic weak spots.

(Well, okay, she just goes for the ear, and that usually works. Which is realism.)

Quite so. It is actually a lesson that Sonya needs to learn. Loving drama is fine, but you shouldn't always expect other people to supply it for you. Sometimes, you've got to put the work in.

Anyway, the next question is going to be how Sandra gets back on speakers with Senna, enough to borrow Gary. Though hopefully we'll get a bit more of the tale of how she abused poor trusting Senna first.

(And by the way, for those of us who speak British English, the "Bum-Bum-Bummmm!" in the last panel just looks like a superfluous label over the back view of Senna.)

Don't get me wrong Spidrift, I am not at all surprised that Senna is an unreliable narrator, it actually suits her character perfectly. I just hope Gary knows enough to take her tale with a very large, rock-sized grain of salt and doesn't prejudge Sandra as "the villain" by the time he meets her (since, far as I know, they never officially met before Gary ends up in Paris). Then again, it's Gary, so I don't hold out much hope...

It's unlikely to be a big problem; Gary is so passive that it doesn't make much difference what he assumes about people, he won't act on those assumptions. But I think that Senna is sufficiently far over the top that even he will recognise that there may be some Photoshop work on the colour saturation there.

Actually, I imagine that Senna doesn't particularly expect to be entirely trusted. Everyone likes a bit of added drama in their life, don't they?

Oh, the ear thing definitely works on Gary, but Senna should be careful.

Why? She's doing fine. She gets a cute guy simultaneously pleased to see her and thrown off-balance in her presence. At worst, if he gets too pleased to see her, he'll end up completely incapable of rational thought when she's around. And if he has to go shower ... well, with any luck he'll forget to lock the bathroom door properly.

By the way, I vote that we get a separate tag for Sandrinha, the Evil Hot Librarian version of Sandra.
