That, and a running gag of Gary constantly pining on trying to hook up with Didi (hey, he knows she's a sexual creature now, right?) and Zii constantly guiding him away because she wants her for herself.

What I find most curious (from a character point of view) in this strip is Gary's question of "Why?" Is he that unaccustomed towards others trying to help him out? Especially when they're quickly bonding as friends? ESPECIALLY a girl? I think Gary better tread lightly, least he make a poor mis-step with Zii and clump her with the group of girls who only wanted to mess with his head.

The itchy aspect of bald crotches? Trust me, just as some girls don't like to kiss a guy with stubble, it can be pretty unpleasant when a girl has stubble, too! But the "plus you walk funny the next day" comment brought back a funny memory of an ex- who was one of those *some* girls. :lol:

I dunno. I believe Zii’s intentions here are good—or at least chaotic neutral.

Of course, we know what sort of pavement good intentions make. :twisted: I predict many hijinks and much unintentional humiliation for Gary for the foreseeable future. I still think that sexual frustration is more likely to be Gary’s lot for many panels to come.

But I can see Zii telling Gary that. A girl in my D&D group has told me “You need to get laid” a few times (with her husband present, they both game)—not quite the same as offering to help.

Of course, the last time she said that, I replied with something like, “It’s pointless to speculate about something we both know isn’t going to happen”, so I don’t expect her to bring it up again. :roll:

Anyway, Gary had better take out a big insurance policy on his ego, because I have a feeling that it’s gonna be roadkill on more than one upcoming occasion…

can't quite put my finger on it, but for some reason Zii lost points in this strip... and I kinda-sorta understand Gary's "why?" though I don't think its surprise at someone helping him, it seems more of a "why bother?"

I am happy to see that Gary's other porn-induced misconceptions about sex were cleared out of the way in one strip, rather than over a series of strips. Now we can perhaps proceed to more interesting themes.

Backfire, perhaps. But never the latter. Why don't you still get that Zii considers Gary a pal, and nothing more, not now, not in the near future and perhaps never. I seriously don't think this strip is about Gary getting laid with his two roommates, or any of them getting laid with any other of them for that matter so no luck for Zii with Didi either. I really think sex is used as a spice rather than the main course itself in MA3.
