Yup, it is - so, instead of being annoyed by it and calling them out on their apparent stupidity/ignorance, maybe you should just let it slide and move on (because, you never know - one day, one of those ridiculous porn setups may actually turn into a sex scene between the characters - then how would you feel for constantly telling those folks that their imagining things?)

Oh, I'm sure we'll get some kind of sexual activity some time, and some of it may arise from fairly stupid set-ups. (The probability of Sonya and maybe even DiDi getting some kind of jollies from the current scene may actually be rising, despite the fact that the porniness of the scene has just been subverted by the characters putting clothes on.) But the readers who assume that this'll happen every time will still look more pervy than clever, and if the writers get too sloppy about it, it's likely to look like Ma3 sliding from competent sex comedy to weak porn, and hence merit some complaining about.

Same with Go Get A Roomie. I checked that out, and it's failed to hold my interest either at the beginning, or lately, when it seems to have undergone a severe case of Cerebus Syndrome. I'm not going to go over to that board and say it sucks, because that's stupid, but I just can't sympathize with any of the characters.

Actually, no - there *had* been another apprentice hired when Ivan's mistress had refused to pay the ransom when Ivan had been kidnapped - opting to just get herself a new apprentice, instead (she begrudgingly changed her mind later when the sprites he kept sending her kept hitting her in the face).

The new apprentice was also not up to her standards (guess he behaved himself, thus killing her fun) and she killed him off when Ivan answered her question correctly.
