Maybe it woldn't be funny, but it sure would be fun. And Gary walking in on them could lead to all kinds of funny -which is how this comic works ;)Spidrift wrote:But "everyone has sex with everyone else" isn't especially funny, and isn't generally how this comic operates.Arkadi wrote:This comic's characters know when to leave logic and common sense aside and play by the Rule of Funny.

Gary has always being a little taller than Didi, just much thinner
http://www.ma3comic.com/strips-ma3/less ... re_wafflie
and Gary is also slightly taller than Sonya
http://www.ma3comic.com/strips-ma3/you_look_familiar
so Sonya and Didi are about same height, just that Sonya is a little thinner
BTW Dillon is almost as tall as Gary

Can I use this as my sig? Because I am.Spidrift wrote:Porn movie logic. Two naked women in the same room; obviously, they're going to have sex.
No, this isn't actually a porn movie. But not everyone seems to have noticed that.
And thanks for the height references, wiseguy. Somehow I've gotten used to seeing Didi as Zii sees her, but Zii and Yuki (and Sandra!) are a lot shorter than Gary and Sonya. Probably Didi has been shown with shorter characters like Zii and Sandra more than with taller characters like Gary.

http://www.ma3comic.com/strips-ma3/stop ... _like_that shows the heights bit better... also that Zii is pretty short.
Height-chart about the characters could be useful, that would also let us see the differences between the body-shapes. Just a hint if the artists read these. ;P

Gil, Gil, Gil, Gil, Gil...by now you should know that what is titillating and fun isn't necessarily limited to a particular sexual orientationGil Hamilton wrote:Even though Didi is straight? ;)Artemisia wrote:Because it would be more titillating and fun if they started fighting and ended up effing

Which may even explain why she's suddenly taken to wearing one. It may serve a plot purpose. If it's lying around in the hall, the next person through the door should notice it.Mandy wrote:It looks like Sonya dropped the bra in the hall when she saw the almighty breasts.
(Edit: Come to think of it, DiDi also appears to have left her towel out there.)
Like I said, a partial excuse.kuopiofi wrote:That would explain the height difference, but they're same *size*.

Next through the door?
A.) Gary's parents, who will instantly want to know where he is so they can remove him from the den of iniquity their poor innocent boy has found himself in.
B.) Yuki's cousin Tenchi Masaki, who wil be amused and bemused that the guy Yuki is apparently interested in is a Canadian version of him, only with "normal" girls instead of aliens all interested in/fightintg over him.

That's rather sad. She could use it right now to strangle Sonya for groping her. Or maybe just a couple of towel snaps. (Didi's a gym rat. She knows from towel snaps.)Spidrift wrote:(Edit: Come to think of it, DiDi also appears to have left her towel out there.)

Hell, a confrontation with his parents might be one thing that could convince Gary that he has freedom to choose, and a moral obligation to exercise it. For all his problems, I'll bet that he likes his life these days better than anything he's ever had before. Threaten him with regression to his old existence, and he might just get his act together enough to say "No - I'm going to be who I choose to be."SomeCanadianWeirdo wrote:?.. A.) Or he might just end up back on the farm, and have to be rescued by a team of black-clad commando nymphomaniacs, temporarily united by a common cause.

A far more likely outcome of a visit by Gary's parents. I'll bet it's largely because of them that Gary's the milksop he is today, and moving away was probably the only way he could find to assert himself against them, being otherwise unable to confront them directly. If they show up on his doorstep, he'll almost certainly fold like Origami and be taken away. The various women who want him or at least like having him around would have to intervene to rescue him.

Re: 24-11-12 He needs comforting
Much as I love my own fantasy of the ninjanympho strike team venturing into the wilds of rural Canada and extracting their friend (Zii)/orgasm supplier (everyone else) from under some collective neo-Amish thumb, I have my doubts about the reliability of Gary's witnessing to his own past. I reckon that his home community were probably a moderately affectionate, mildly conservative bunch, and he's just making excuses for being a self-pitying, socially inept geek, because that's just him.

Re: 24-11-12 He needs comforting
It wouldn't surprise me at all if you turned out to be right about that, I too suspect Gary isn't the most reliable narrator about his past; would be interesting if his parents visited just to see what they had to say about it. Though I do wonder about the humor about them being Not So Bad After All...Spidrift wrote:...I have my doubts about the reliability of Gary's witnessing to his own past. Maybe the running away was part of the rebelling. Often if you rebel against the rules of your social circle, you end up being ostracized or even ostracize yourself from that group, since you now have a lot less in common with them. If this former social circle lives all around you, ie you see them every day, you may find yourself needing to change addresses to properly distance yourself from them, especially if they don't leave you alone. Sure Gary said he moved to Montreal to further his art career, but who says that's his only reason?Shardphoenix wrote: He said that he rebelled against them, not ran away.

Then the last traces of Gary`s likability would vanish.
