It's odd that you'd use dynasties and aristocracy as supporting material, considering history is rife with examples of sibling rivalries and feuds between different branches of the same family turning into civil wars, or being the triggers for international wars. Not exactly helpful when your argument is that members of political families look out for each other.

The articles you originally provided put Obama and Bush at eleventh cousins, and state you have to go back to the the 17th century to find a link between Obama and both Bush and Cheney. Go that far back and you can probably find a link for the majority of Americans. The Bush family has only been a political family for three generations (Prescott, George H. W., and George W.) or so, making it far removed from the branch that leads to Obama. Dick Cheney is the root of his political family, so that link is even more tenuous.

@Pfhreak: Firstly, nice Marathon reference. Secondly, I don't know if your question is serious or not, but the Khmer Rouge was the Cambodian administration responsible for the Cambodian holocaust. Their Adolf Hitler was Pol Pot, an indirect and distant relative (but by one or two steps more closely related to me than Obama and Bush or Cheney).

Haha. But really, I know but I don't care. I'm young enough so that whatever happens won't actually effect me in a major way for a few years. I mean, other than gas prices since Katrina, nothing in my life has changed. Work for money, spend the money, work for money, spend the money. For me it's all the same. At least now when the next black president gets elected it won't be such a big deal, and people will actually care about what the guy brings to the table.
