While I like Zii overall, I think trying to make her out as faultless is about as misconstrued as demonizing her in this case. While she means well, she's obviously has got a few things of her own to work out. Just like Gary, Didi, and the others. If she was perfect she'd be a pretty lame character.
In a dream it was also that he came by his name of Kuranes, for when awake he was called by another name.
