The wrestling stuff I think came dangerously close to this a few times. It would be long stretches of only the wrestling arc characters, without even Didi around, for sometimes almost unbearable stretches. Alot of stuff seemed to get put on the back burner when wrestling came in.

I wasn’t a fan either. There was a dangerous sense of the writers getting bored with the comic they’d created. Likewise, Sonya came close to stealing the limelight once or twice (and I was a fan there, and could wish she’d been given a bit more drama in her exit). But, in the end, the story has swung back to something like its original shape. So no sense in resurrecting old grudges.

Thanks for the disclaimer at the end Giz. After April Fool's day yesterday, I was hoping we weren't going to be pranked.

This is one of the endings for Gary I was hoping for. Tender and a bit dorky, because anything less would have been out of character. While Peggy is lovingly and stunningly portrayed, Gary is whom I am focusing on here. He is still a little dumbfounded that he is actually wanted. Peggy's words are true, in that he cares for her well-being (although not expecting any *immediate* reward might have been a more accurate phrasing; friends do scratch other friends' backs nudge nudge wink wink). The sentiment is correct though, in that Gary is accommodating and empathetic.

I very much want them to have their sexual explorations discussion before the end of Ma3 proper, but I am not sure if we will get it from the creative team. This way they can hook us back into the next leg in these characters' journey. Before Tracy's interactions with Gary became the 'Tracy + James' debacle, I would have thought that Tracy & Gary had potential. She would have been fairly high maintenance for Gary, but they seemed to have good chemistry and common interests. The camgirl angle too had lots of merit to explore. There's Kiley too, under whatever rock she's hiding under. I would expect Gary would prefer very few men in a threesome (or more) with Peggy... at least if he is actually in the mix of bodies. He has stated such, even if that other person is a close friend like Matt. It probably just puts him at unease. Can Peggy get the same thrills with a more FFM threesome? I think so. Or perhaps they will compile a list of interested/interesting people... or join some sort of swingers group. I bet Peggy hasn't forgotten that Gary would like to have sex with Zii. We'll have to see.

That still leaves Didi without a partner to keep her company, should the road visits and video chats with Zii not satisfy her cravings. Could a tag team of both Peggy & Gary be enough? Could they develop a mutual love enough to overcome Didi's emotion connection needs? Can they use something akin to kayfabe to fake it with Didi (or Didi put herself into the mindset herself)? I suppose this presumes that Didi can remain committed to Zii and can have the stamina to handle an orgasm drought. When Matt was healing, she turned into an animal once he finished convalescing... but she kept it together mostly. Once again, we'll just have to see.

Pushing Zii out of the story makes me wonder if Zii & Didi's romance will be the focus of a continuation strip. It seems like it could be slapstick-y enough and have ups and downs and be full of fan service. But it would be fairly hollow. Angel & Zii's drama wouldn't be that enjoyable to read, for me. Perhaps some new characters could enter the band, but then we'd run the risk of losing Dillon's focus in his own strip like how Ruby stole SDB. And the big problem with keeping all the old characters together is that it would beg the question if Ma3 even ended? Change in management or creative team? It worries me how the intellectual property will be handled once Giz announces its end (in this web comic).

So yes, please, Giz, be open and transparent what your intentions and plans are for Ma3. And explore whatever options you have to keep it going on and interesting for you too. Pay wall... less frequent updates... announcing on social media when to expect the continuations... etc. The withdrawal symptoms of have no regular updates are going to be terrible enough.

I'm thinking the next project will be behind a paywall like Patreon or SubscribeStar. As for what the next project is, all we know so far is that it will take place in the Ma3verse and Giz has plans for Ramona.

By the way, can anybody identify the design on Gary’s shirt? It looks distinctive enough. (The preceding strip had it fully displayed.) It means nothing to me, but I don’t share Gary’s tastes in pop culture.

Oh... I’m told that Gary’s shirt as displaying a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation logo. Given that his shirts traditionally feature subtle allusions to the current plot, I wonder what, if anything, this signifies? That Gary has turned all traditionally-Canadian — sweetly reasonable, likable, and a tiny bit anodyne?

(Let’s not get all worked up with wild theories about Giz landing a TV writing gig.)

Interestingly, the CBC logo in Gary's shirt is the one from the 70s and early 80s. That could be also a clue.

In any particular way? I mean, Canadians may be able to explain how that works, but it sounds a bit abstruse to me.

(One could attempt a particularly baroque theory involving Zii’s peculiar taste for ’70s/’80s bands, I guess...)

Yes she is. It says so right there in the comic.

So is this Last Girl Wins then?

Gary met Tracy, Isabelle, and Maura after meeting Peggy so this should be a case of Last Confession Wins. If it would have been a literal case of Last Girl Wins then Maura would have won. If Gary ended up with Zii then it would have been First Girl Wins. If Gary ended up with Kiley then it would have been a unique twist on First Girl Wins (First Girl to bed Gary Wins). But who knows, maybe Kiley will show up the apartment next strip and confess her unresolved feelings for Gary but I think that is very unlikely. Kiley's character arc is done for now. Hopefully she'll return as a substantial character in the next comic.

To a reasonable first approximation, yes, it would appear so.

Not one of the terribly interesting tropes, in my opinion, but it seems to matter to anime fans.
