Speaking of which, it actually kind of surprised me she's saying that it was all her fault in this strip? Considering her brain's excellent ability of not giving a fuck to anything even slightly consequential, I'm surprised she's not saying something like "Oh what a beautiful sunny day to be en l'amour!" and promptly ignoring Sonya's existence once again instead of finally admitting it is all her fault.
The problem is - what does Didi consider her fault? The fact that she misunderstood what Peggy had said to her or for accidentally revealing she and Zii had sex in Sonya's apartment (given Didi - probably the latter).

So your hypotesis is valid...
It'd require uncannily fast learning, though. Sonya does have hidden depths, but Giz is a musician and takes that stuff seriously. So I don't actually believe it. I just think it'd be a heck of a last-act twist.

I'm also a musician (BTW, Giz is simply awesome, i was watching her band's rendition of Harley Davidson, i'm cool with Brigitte Bardot's version but i love Barbarella's version more) and unless Sonya is like August Rush i also don't believe it...

Then again, i can't stop thinking about that strip where Izz got loose and played like Kerry King on steroids...
That's what i do... i drink and i know things...

And Gary - nice start on the complaining. Now, you just need to start complaining audibly, and you might achieve something. (Though I suspect that Peggy will pick you up and check you over in a moment. She's got the righteous anger thing going nicely just now, but she'll remember your recent concussion soon enough.)

I'm pretty sure Gary *IS* complaning audibly. It is just somewhat.. muffled at the moment.

Go Peggy! \M/ Someone need to read Zii the riot act and it's better if it's someone that's never bumped uglies with her.

Gary the doormat.

What all three girls (S, Z, D) need is a lecture, a good bare bottomed spanking, then another lecture. After that each would have to complete assignments involving personal interactions with the other two.

Of course Gary could never pull that off. Dillon could but he's out of the picture. So --- Peggy? Looks like she has a good start on the opening lecture.

Oh, well. Probably it is just as well I'm not writing this.

If Sonya runs into Izz, wonder if the next volume/chapter will begin with what is a classic Ma3 trope of a morning after scene?
Unlikely straight away, I think. That'd really need a bit of setting up, in terms of the characterisation....
.....

But we digress...
True. Since you brought it up, it made me think, too, but also true we are jumping too far ahead at the moment.

obviously, what zii's done here is not very nice, but i can't really feel too bad for sonya in this situation. whether zii admitted it to herself or not, she was basically just going along with the pretense that sonya was offering.

"You kept saying we weren't serious."
"Yeah, but I didn't mean it!"
"Well then you shouldn't have kept saying it."
Given Sonya's previous behavior, Zii knows full well that Sonya is crazy about her (look how many times Sonya tried to seduce Zii - first when Zii was trying to hook her up with Gary, then away from Zii's boyfriend before finally succeeding, as a prime example of this obsession). Zii, in all honesty, can't pretend she was unaware that Sonya was obsessed with her. Sonya's 'we'll be friends with benefits/no commitments' is just Zii's weak excuse to explain away using Sonya for selfish reasons.

I guess the biggest different is that DiDi is at least a tiny bit more redeemable in this aspect, since not everyone can give her l'orgasmes.
Yeah, no - I lost any kind of sympathy for Didi when she brushed off Sonya's concern over her intentions for meeting with Zii in the first place, blowing Sonya off when they made to leave the apartment after she and Zii spent the afternoon having sexy times, then having the audacity to disregard Sonya's pain after Zii thought about consoling her after her (sonya) attempt to prove Didi was only after Zii for physical relief backfired.

Didi only seems to show concern for another person's emotions when it beneficial to her - which makes her particularly deplorable.
Exactly. Didi knew Sonya didn't want Zii having sex with her in HER apartment and she did it anyways. Also, the fact that so few can give her an orgasm really isn't an excuse, as she had no idea if Zii could. Hell, even if Zii was the ONLY person in the world who could, it wouldn't be an excuse.

She is indeed a wonderful artist who could doubtless turn her hand to anything, but from what I've seen, I don't get the feeling that she's very interested in depicting some of those bits in all their wrinkly Lovecraftian glory.

Entirely agreed on the last bit, but DiDi's excuse there was that she felt guilty (sure) about making Zii sad, and wanted to ensure that she and Zii weren't missing out on their chance at true love. And if they did have true love, then Zii had a very good chance of giving her an orgasm.

Which makes me think now that DiDi is becoming increasingly good at double-thinking herself into the necessary state of "true love" with anyone she vaguely likes. I mean, even in this case, she had to feed herself and Zii a specious bit of BS about how their previous casual friendship might actually have been the precursor to true love.

Which makes me think that DiDi may be mis-labelling what she needs. I mean, most people can (if both parties want) manage reasonably satisfactory, orgasmic sex with anyone of the right gender that they don't actually hate. All it takes is a little bit of communication and emotional engagement, if that. But DiDi is so fucked up that she's mostly incapable of communication or emotional engagement. So Kiley basically established that she needs to get past that and establish a working emotional bond with her partner -- and DiDi, being a sentimental moron, promptly decided that this meant she needed some kind of grand romance.

If this is right, all DiDi needs to do is get over the mislabelling and start treating everybody as people rather than objects, and she'll be capable of a perfectly normal, sane, if doubtless highly active sex life, without all the bullying and stupidity. But unfortunately, this requires DiDi to have a bit of sense.

I think that shoulder angels in this comic say a lot more about self-image than the person's actual nature. I mean, they're essentially figments of the character's imagination, right? So DiDi likes to think that she's this wonderfully good person, with a HOOOGE shoulder angel, when actually, she's a rather crappy person with a very unreliable conscience. I mean, where was that 5-metre angel when she did the bad shit in the first place?

It's changed as she has gradually let desperation eat away at her, and is now the same size as her shoulder devil.

Well caught. Right. And shoulder angels and devils in this comic are an unreliable bunch at the best of times, prone to conspiring with each other and sneaking off for make-out sessions.

How do you guys find this stuff with no working archive?
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.
