Anime

Post by bombasticals »

Has any of the material on here been made into an anime? Aside from Afro Samurai. If not, why?

Off the top of my head, A Certain Scientific Railgun, Dance in the Vampire Bund, Gunslinger Girl, He is My Master, Inukami, Kashimashi, Strawberry Panic, Toradora and Venus Versus Virus all have anime series.

One that's based on an OEL manga; one by someone who wasn't Japanese.

Seven Seas is represented in Hollywood by Circle of Confusion, so our focus is more on the live action movie and TV series side of things. While it'd be cool to have an Amazing Agent Luna anime series, it's that likely unless it were something that were contracted directly via a direct-to-video project a la The Animatrix or Batman: Gotham Knights or any of those types of projects. Japan has their own projects that they make anime of and North America has their own stuff.

1. You should have been more specific, then. Especially since
2. Afro Samurai isn't an OEL manga.

Yeah, the Afro Samurai mention threw me as well.
