Anime Opening & Ending Themes

Post by Hakumei Hizoku »

This a thread to talk about what you opinion is one some opening & ending themes for anime. Like if you think that they match the name or just completely doesn't sound like something the anime reflects or if you think the artist used was the right choice.

I know LOL Should been something more like this for the opening http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JoYCQkfenw

As for Lucky Star...man the opening was addictive XD It was catchy and just fun. I also thought it reflected the anime, random LOL

I always thought that RahXephon and Cowboy Bebpop had perfect opening that matched the anime well and the animation used matched. You can till they took their time with picking the right music.

If we're looking at OPs that don't fit the series, there's always the OP to Negima!?, 1000% Sparking.

I couldn't agree with you more. I hated the opening to Negima.

Well, for endings, I liked Tokyo Majin ending. it wasn't the best but I'm a fan of the band that did it so I guess it's more of a personal opinion. Also the ending for Mnemosyne was good I think. Luck Star was just wth XD it was funny yet very random. near the end of the series it got more weird.

I like the OP but it really didn't fit the series at all, plus, it did get annoying after a while.

As for ending themes, I'd have to go with:

Special A

Paradise Kiss

Sekirei

Code Geass R2

My Favorite endings:

Wolfs Rain

Kanon 2006

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7hABN3VoZ0
Shuffle!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slwUmR09anI
Fate/Stay Night (Quite possibly my favorite ending ever here.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7ynORnL ... re=related
Inuyasha. ...No matter how much I want to, I can't hate the series that got me into anime, and let's all be honest. Inuyasha while having crappy openings, had amazing ending themes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-NESpQHgzY
Full Metal Panic

Yup, not to many endings that I've been that impressed with.

Also: Forgot to put this in my favorite OP sections:

Ef - A tale of Memories.

Ef - A tale of Memories & Ef - A tale of Melodies have a very good ending and opening theme.

You're also right about Inu-Yasha, it has crappy Opening but has very good endings.

No.
That's more Live Action than anything.

As much as i like the band that did the opening for the second season of Death Note, it didn't match. I don't think it was the right music for the anime. The first Death Note opening seemed more right than the second one.
