Huh, are we going beyond 12 episodes this volume? If not, that's a Hell of a cliffhanger. Anyway, it seems fan speculation of Jaune being a healer were correct. I didn't buy into that at all. Apparently Ozpin is also Yoda. An interesting use of dust by Hazel. I don't think we've seen it used quiet that way before. They actually managed to piss Ruby off, that's disturbing. Especially because she seems to do cold rage. As for the end there, yeah, what a tweest.

They confirmed at the start of the volume, 14 chapters. As for dust usage, the did foreshadow it way back in that first World of Remnant on Dust.

Personally, I think Hazel’s VA did a great job this episode.

A thought or two on Jaune: Okay, I'm wondering if what Jaune is doing here is just flat out healing or if he's actually amplifying Weiss' aura. That would be so much more bad ass than just healing ability. Here with Weiss it amounts to the same thing, but other things he might be able to do with it, for example: supercharge Yang's aura so she can take even more of a beating and absorb even more damage before she Hulk's out for the Yang smash portion of the fight. I wonder if it would effect semblances as well, say making Ruby even faster. Like Hammy on energy drink fast. I'm interested to see where this goes.

So who was Vernal? She wasnt just another tribesman. She was special enough to Raven that Raven made her a portal connection. Which I doubt she'd do for a mere decoy .

This week’s RWBY Rewind showed an about 30 second clip from episode 13, and Hazel is continuing his rampage. But he makes a little mistake. He pumps a chunk of electricity into Nora.. The clip, if RWBYRW’s history continues, is from the first few moments of the episode.

And with that, "Hail! Hail! The Gang's all here." Except Pyrrah, because you know, dead. I'm beginning to wonder if Neo's ever going to show up again. As she was Torchwick's minion and he's dead, she may very well not. Which would make my top two favourites out of the show. Alas. This volume actually ended way better for the good guys then I thought it was going to. Just going to piss off Salem enough to take the gloves off next volume, I guess. I wonder if Salem actually scragged Lionheart or just fucked him up real good. At the time I was positive it was scragged, but now I wonder. A little a least. Either way the dog got what he deserved. Really looking forward to more bad-assery from Hazel, considering he was pretty much solo tanking the whole bloody party. Looking at the credits for this volume it looks like the brought half of Funimation's VA shop on board. There's been a few here and there pretty much all along, but there's a good dozen in here now. Anyway, looking forward to Volume 6, not looking forward to the ten month wait.

Huh. Apparently RWBY Chibi season 3 has started already. "Hello, victims." Velvet. Another I hope we get to see more of in Volume 6. Hmmmm, I wonder what they'll call the Tai x Cinder 'ship. Fire-Dragon, perhaps?
