In happier news, RTX is next weekend. I wonder if RT is far enough along with volume 3 to have a preview ready?

Well, the first thing on my schedule is the RWBY panel. ;)

This is gonna be my first RTX, and I'm looking forward to it. Even looking to make a quick cosplay, going to do the generic crooks from X-Ray and Vav, and have a sign saying "Down with X-Ray and Vav" and "X-Ray and Vav unfair to honest goons!"

Speaking of which, have y'all been watching Season 2 of X-Ray and Vav?

Okay, news from RTX for RWBY:

Things are progressing well for the show, and is projected to start airing in the late fall. Too early for a finished trailer, but we got to see early versions of two scenes, one just the girls having lunch, and a second being a couple minutes of one of the tournament matches against Team ABRN.

Tournament? Oh yes, the tourney happens this volume. In addition to ABRN (I predict the R girl, Reese I think, will be popular, fighting on a hoverboard), there will be a Team FNKY. At least for the RWBY/ABRN match, Port and Oobleck are commentary.

Winter is coming... And will be voiced by the English VA for Major Kusinagi from Ghost in the Shell:

Monty's brother is stepping up to voice Ren. It will be a tad different, but close, and keeping it in the family.

I just watched the panel on the Youtube livestream. They cut out the preview videos, but the rest is there.

The VAs for Team RWBY sure do have fun when they get together. It's really funny when they start doing each other's characters.

Qrow is younger than I pictured him. I guess Ozpin's 'dried up old Qrow' line threw me off.

The tournament arena is going to be epic.

Oh, and it seems the casting of Vic for Qrow has caused a bit of a fuss in the FNDM. Seems he has voiced some rather homophobic opinions, and a lot of people are not happy...
