but seriously. If everyone has a certain Semblance. What is Jaune's based on how we saw him block the punch? An impenetrable shield ability? Deflection of force?

I think Jaune's semblance is centered on his 'force field'. If nothing else, it's strength caught Cardin by surprise when it kicked in. Somehow, I get a feeling we might see him pulling stunts like planting himself between his team an a threat, and a force wall centered on his shield pops up, or something like that.

Oh, and it was announced that there will not be an episode next week, as they are gearing up for the two part volume 1 finale the next two weeks. Can't wait.

I was actually inspired enough to write a short RWBY fanfic, The Next Stage, centered on Jaune and Pyrrha after the last episode. Relatively short, but 'Mature' in nature, but not explicit. Thinking of writing another story involving a leadership challenge in Team CRDL, in which Cardin won't be a 100% jerk... must mostly one.

Then there is the other fic that I have bouncing around my head that I wouldn't be able to host on FF.net even if I do finish it... ;)

You mean 'Just a Game', which I put the first part on Tumblr? (I have two Tumblr accounts, my 'main', 'Ravenhull', and my RWBY-centric one, 'Donovan-Drago'.) If so, I've got some more written, but nowhere near done. Unlike the other fic, it will a full fledge smutfic if I ever finish it.
