Fav. Comic strips

What are your favorite comic strips? I often read newspaper strips. Those are really funny.

Calvin&Hobbes. Probably because i've been reading them for a many years. And online The Order of the stick. Amazing by all means.

I read comic strips when I can, and one of the best these days is Over the Hedge. The wordplay between RJ and Verne can be quite clever at times and Hammy's random antics make you laugh in spite of yourself. Don't judge the strip based on the movie, as the tones of the two are quite different.

Doonesbury is probably my favourite, with Non Sequitur coming in a close second; I've often thought of making an Obvious Man costume for Halloween.

I like "Zippy The Pinhead" - it's so surreal. Also "Too Much Coffee Man." :-)

Calvin and Hobbes, Bloom County/Outland/Opus, Non Sequitur, Over the Hedge, 9 Chickweed Lane, Lio, Heart of the City, and while technically a web comic I suppose, Pibgorn.
Grand Low Maker of Mischief, Claw of Chaos, Fang of Anarchy

Garfield: because I love monday jokes every monday and fat and lasagna jokes every other day. Did you know that Jim Davis made Garfield's favorite dish lasagna because he couldn't draw pizza? What a cop out.
Family Circus: because it's only funny to the creator. Drawing jokes for yourself and publishing them takes some serious balls.
Get Fuzzy: because it's slowly evolving into Garfield and it doesn't even realize it.
Doonesbury: because out of context it is the least funny comic strip ever written.
Cathy: I don't think Cathy Guisewite can actually draw. She was published for over a quarter of a decade? Bravo.

I agree with you on B.C. It seems to have lost a bit of its edge since old Johnny died. Still read it though.
I really like the Norwegian Pondus.
