Was it a stealth kill? You might have had high enough stealth skill to not be seen.

Yep, it was a stealth kill, and I was all the way up on the ridge above the town.

I keep rerolling. I think the highest I've gotten is lvl 22 :)

I'll press ahead, though.

I do need to find a way to reduce the glare in the game. It's hurting my eyes and making it hard to play sometimes :(

yeah, it's almost like someone forgot to adjust for the fact you spend half your time in a WHITE SNOW FIELD!!! X( I'll see if I can find a mod on Nexus to help

I remember i had a dull snow texture mod at one time that i used because the vanilla snow textures combined with realistic lightning w/customization mod made it really glaring.

all the ones I find are mostly "realistic" ones, might help inside, but might make the snow-glare worse (Jeeze, haven;t these people ever heard of snow goggles?!)

Yeah :( I'm very photo sensitive, so the glare from everything can hurt my eyes a lot. I've tried taking down the brightness, and I may have to do that again.

Well, I found out that I can use Steam to download a lot of mods...one of them must have affected the lighting because it isn't as harsh as it was. I haven't added a huge number, but a few have been nice :)

A word of warning about the steam mod manager. It automatically updates the mods every time you run the game. It's one of the reasons i think NMM is better to use since you can choose if you want to update the mods or not.

(Just in case you didn't know. If you do, then just ignore my comment. <.<)

I saw that, but I get so confused that it makes it hard for me to put the mods in by hand, so I'll just go with this. Besides, most of them don't seem to be something I'm overly worried about.

Most of the Nexus mods are configured so that the Manager handles the downloads automatically Thats why most of the files have the option to use the Manager or Download manually. Manual downloads aren't usually that complicated...unless your on windows 8 then it's annoying X(

Right now, I can't play Skyrim at all :( I need to wait for my body to adjust to not having any anti-anxiety meds in it :(
