I thought he was a dirty blonde. Then again, maybe the Doctor is blocking out details of that incarnation (like the jacket) due to their traumatic nature.

To truly contain the complete 7th series, wouldn't that boxed set have to include the 50th anniversary special and the next Christmas special? I'm not sure how it can, considering the early-November release date.

Well, they're filming the Christmas Special right now for this year, that takes about 7-10 days. Throw in 2 weeks for special effects works, that makes it early October finished, ready to be pressed onto the disc.
