True, very true, but isn't there also something to be said for not giving the truth about you if you are suppose to be under cover?

That depends heavily on the cover you want to maintain. It's best to keep as close as possible to the truth, because that will spare you the trouble of keeping a lie up. What would be the advantage if they had used fake names? The disadvantage is pretty clear: the need to build a complete fake background.

True, but doesn't, to a point, the agency do that anyway, and isn't to a point Control doing that especially with the way Volume 3 ended?

I'm mostly curious about how much the Principal had to dig to find out how to contact Control's parents.

I looked up "scion" on Wikionary, and what I found was interesting. Could Project Scion be for creating a supersoldier heir to the throne of Bruckenstein? Or is it for creating a superhuman bodyguard for the Count and/or Jonah?

I wonder if "Project Scion" isn't Von Brucken's attempt to create a "Luna" of his own. Afterall it seems to involve cloning at least if what was done with the owls is any indication.

The woman at the beginning also mentions leaving her grappling gun "back with the American ----" which would seem mean she is not one herself which probably rules out Oliver's mother, but then again we know nothing about her, she could have been from anywhere.

Or "brother" - the fact the Scion can mean heir makes me think he might end up messing with his son's genetics.

That and Jonah has a killer instict as is - the fact most of ther experiments had to do with cloning, mind transfer might imply the dual-purpose heir/guardsmen, by transfering him and Jonah to a safe locartion, then perhaps cloning a bunch of Jonah-minds in more apt bodies and putting some other mind -

That's another thought, would Von Brucken be trying to clone Jonah but maybe in such a way as to put his mind in Jonah's body or in any body he chose? Sort of mind control that way.

Jonah would be like Rei. Wait, that's a disturbing thought.

So, anybody else think the lady that was talking to him at the end of volume 3 is the Spanish teacher (Ms. Ramirez) that Ollie's dad was flirting with?

Well, according to that Scholastic press release, this series is five volumes. That's actually pretty good. I mean, Destiny's Hand and Last Hope are only three volumes, and they're just as good. I just think that some stories need time to grow, ya know. Or they could just have story arcs, like first, the Destiny's Hand saga, the collecting of the Maps, then the Devil's Eye saga, the actual search for the treasure. I'm not sure about Last Hope, though an extra thick third volume (like the third .hack//Legend of the Twilight manga, or Boogiepop Doesn't Laugh 2) would do really well.

And I pretty much can finish any book in a day.
