Amazing Agent Luna Volume 3 Who else has read it? (spoilers)

Luna may be the perfect secret agent, but can she survive her toughest challenge yet--fitting in at high school?

Interesting I would guess Jonah's mother for who the mystery woman was since for many of the reasons mentioned and because Control obviously recognized whoever that woman was, which means they had dealings in the past. Such dealings (which I am very curious about) could have been in a way that lead Control to learn that the mystery woman was Jonah's mother.

It would also be interesting if that is who it is since as far as Jonah knows Control is Luna's real mother and if it ever comes out that she killed his mother, well that might make things very interesting.

As to Principal Ohlinger and Mr. Dreyfus, I still think at least Mr. Dreyfus is more then he seems and might have been former military, maybe military intelligence. He didn't even hesitate to understand why Luna did what she did and to tell Luna she had no choice to do what she did when her cover was blown. I'm also not sure if Principal Ohlinger doesn't know more then it seems, she might not know everything, but she seems to be someone that know a lot (perhaps second to only Mr. Dreyfus who actually saw Luna in action) about what is going on in that school.

Or police. The "gruffy black teacher with a secret" seems to be some sort of archetype (take e.g. Mr. Sampson from Angel Moxie).

[cue weird yaoi music now.]

Ummm... their relationship suggests the opposite of yaoi rather than anything else.

mmmm... incest....

But ex-military or ex-police, while an explaination for his demenor hold NOTHING in terms of him knowing about Prject: Luna, which would be more than hidden from ANYONE in the standard military or police.

I agree that the "stealth lady" at the beginning was probably Jonah's mom. She seems like an interesting lady, and seemed to show compassion for Luna when Luna was corcerned that she might fall.
Mr. Dreyfuss does seem to know an awful lot about secret identities. Maybe, as Ryokosha suggested, he might have background in the military or CIA. He sounded like a general or something when he was the principal.

A General is nowhere NEAR a high enough rank to know about Project: Luna.
-Also consider his age in comparison to the rank he might need.

We're talking President, maybe a few members of cabient, and whoever runs the project and (possibly) the CIA.

I still think he's just perceptive.

He doesn't have to know Luna is a test tube grown super spy to recognize she is a spy if he is one himself. He might not have any clue about Project Luna itself and yet still know there is something strange going on in the school (not hard to figure out with the gaint owls and the owl acting like the Principal I admit  ) and then also recongize someone, Luna in this case, at the very least as an agent who was likely sent in to investigate things at the school.

I also think that once again his understanding of why Luna had no other choice speaks of more someone with experience in such things then someone that is merely perceptive. Perceptive or not what she did could easily have shocked him. That said he also did a bit of investigating himself don't forget back in volume 2 and through this volume.

He was closely watching Luna and her friends when Professor Trompeire (sp) walked up to him and asked about any students he should know about, later on he did hear Control and her mother talking about how Control had taken on a "important job", and he did release Aristotle following him to Luna. Perhaps that is all falling under perceptive, but I don't think so, not to mention he did make a few moves against the ninja to indicate some hand to hand combat training, such as the chop on one of the ninja's wrists.

Just thought I would add here that I hope to be posting a review for this on Amazon.com soon and wondered if anyone else was going to join me?

Umm, question:

Will v1/2 ever be re-printed to match the spine of v3 in terms of style (making us with the old style spine someone of oldie fans) or will it just continue from three+ like that.

I must admit, I was a little off-put by the change. It's good and all, but switching mid-seires is like meh.

For Amazing Agent Luna, the spines for volume 1 and 2 caused a shelving problem in stores where the series would not get shelved under A for Amazing, but rather L for Luna. We wanted to make sure the 3rd volume was shelved where it should be. We're planning a 4th volume and it'll also have this new spine design when it comes out in 2007.

[Note that No Man's Land Vol. 2 also featured a new spine design, and Last Hope Vol. 2 will have a new spine design also when it comes out in September/October.]

Sakura_Star you don't need to by anything from Amazon to post there just sign up with them to be a "member". Just posted my review.

I'm curious how much the Ohlinger knows, from the first volume (looking back) she seems to show signs of being smarter and more "with it" then it appears at first. Does anyone else see that too?

Oh, duh.

She's perceptive and picks up on a lot. but I do not think she's in any loop.

Careful with the "duh's". I don't think she is officially in any loop, but somehow I am interested to know how she learned about Control's parents. In theory her entire idenity was fabricated for the form to get Luna into the school, and yet she might have listed her real parents there?

I think theyu still isted her as the smae person - because names and such weren't changed. "Andy" I don't think was known for ever being government - let alone where in it - unless I misread it so they could just mary Jennifer to her and call it a day.
