We often have to send out cover images in advance for solicitations, so some of our alternate earlier cover builds end up on the Internet.

The "red" Luna dress image is actually what we call a "flat." It's the first step in coloring. You can tell the cover changed a lot. ^_-

*snicker*

Anyway, the question I missed in the second quiz was the one about "Benjiro" being the name of Luna's grandfather. Which raises the question: since Benjiro is Jennifer's father and Luna was raised from a test tube, does that mean that Jennifer is actually Luna's biological mother? I found a brief discussion of this matter in this thread, but no confirmation whether or not Jennifer was the donor.

IT was never confirmed in any regard, the best we know from our updated knowledge since that debate is that Jennifer was indeed involved in the development and got pulled out of school early to do it.

I still stand by Luna having (in addition to more outstanding genetics) death row convict's genes inside her.

And he's a legal grandfather (though biological as far as falsified US records say) due to the fact that Jennifer is Luna's legal mother (again, in terms of falsified papers)

The real (but maybe not too obvious) question here was, whether the creators' lack of denial about Benjiro's grandfathership implied a confirmation of some sorts. ;)

None of that makes him Luna's grandfather, since the records/papers are fake.

Read nothing into our silence except the fact that we like to let you guys speculate without confirming nor denying anything.

Fake how? If the US government produces papers declaring Jennifer Kajiwara to be Luna's mother, then it's legal. After all, it's the same as an adoption, the only fake part is that the papers would label it a natural parentage, not an adoption.

But legally, Jennifer is now Luna's parent, which means legally Benjiro is her grandparent.

This could, of course, change if and when the US voids those papers.

The US government produces a lot that's nothing less than legal, but I'm digressing.

Exactly. Which is why I wouldn't agree on Benjiro being regarded as Luna's grandfather.
