That chapter is really a take off on maid series in general. I'd never even seen or read He Is My Master at that point, actually. I just liked the idea of having girls in maid outfits. Hee hee.

Whens the next Omnibus coming out?

We're currently aiming for a December '08 release, but we'll have more info on the book in the coming months. Aoi House In Love! Vol. 2 just hit stores, so that's what our main focus is on.

I do want to say that the second omnibus will not contain any color pages, though. So the only way to get all the 4-koma in color is to pick up the individual volumes of Aoi House In Love! (Vol. 1 and 2). We have to make those individual volumes special and worth owning, after all!

Hey Adam, how's it going? Listen, I dunno if you covered this in the Aoi Notes, but you're going to Comic-con this year, right? And if you are, are you and Jason and Shiei gonna have a table there and be selling Seven Seas stuff or something?

I wrote this back in June 9th's Aoi Notes, so it's still valid:

I had an idea for a manga set in the Aoi House Universe that would serve as sort of a prelude for Aoi House. It would've been a period piece set in the 70s or 80s and featured the story of how Elle's parents met. Unfortunately, since the backdrop of the story was a world race a la the Blake Edwards's comedy "The Great Race," the idea fell by the wayside since Seven Seas was already doing a globe-trotting comedy called Ten Beautiful Assassins. So aside from those two stories, that's really all I had on the drawing board that hadn't already gotten shot down (like Time Gals).

Right now, we know the following people will be attending Comic-Con this year:
- Jason DeAngelis (Seven Seas' president)
- Adam Arnold (that's me)
- Yayoi Ihne (she's our licensing person)
- Christina Weir & Nunzio DeFilippis (writers of Amazing Agent Luna and Destiny's Hand)
- Rachel Roberts (the author of Avalon: Web of Magic)

I also hear that the writer of The Outcast (Vaun Wilmott) may come at some point.
Unfortunately, Shiei will not be able to attend this year. T_T

Yeah, i've heard that Shiei might not be going, it's unfortunate that she isn't going! But hey, at least you guys are going, that's good!

So are you guys gonna have like a table or something where you're gonna sell stuff and/or give autographs? Cause i'm most likely gonna be there (I already pre-registered) so it'd be great to meet you all out there!

Yep, we'll have a booth (along with Tor) where we'll be selling books and doing autographs. So be sure to stop by!

Here's a question I had since I first stated reading Aoi House. Why is there so many Azumanga Daioh expressions on the characters? Seriously, I was kinda wondering that for a while! It is b/c you or Shiei really liked Azumang Daioh at the time or something? Or, what was it? ^^"
