Everyone is attracted to manga for different reasons. There are sooooo many different genres in Japan and elsewhere that there really is something for everyone (even business men and house wives).

As far as yaoi goes, fans like that genre for the same reasons that romance novels are so popular...certain things just appeal to them. There isn't a "why" people like it. They just do.

There isn't anything wrong with yaoi either, but there is a big difference between yaoi and plain shonen-ai.

Shonen-ai (boy's love) is what Gravitation is. It's simply two men having a relationship, but isn't graphic.

Yaoi tends to be more hardcore with actual sex being portrayed in a lot of circumstances. If you want really hardcore, then find some doujinshi. But even though the relationships are between men, you have to keep in mind that westerners tend to have a different view towards sex than the Japanese do.

How does this affect Aoi House?

It doesn't. ^_^

Aoi House is a comedic satire that is meant to be enjoyed by both men and women.

It's our deepest hope that it will be. ^_^

Really though, there are a number of things that have to happen for it to be printed, but the biggest is that lots of people have to like it and read it. We're only just now entering our third week and already the response has been amazing. It'll be really exciting to see how where we are in a few months!

I have an idea, but my ideas have changed several times all ready. So, we'll just see when we get there. ^_^

As for Twilight's rather vague semi-question that I think I know what he's asking, then all I have to do is remind you that I do have half-naked Naru and Kanako bed sheets on my doors (and I have nalf-naked Rei and Asuka bed sheets that I haven't found a place for yet).

Yep, that they do!

I've actually seen one of Kira Yamato (Gundam SEED) at a con before in addition to the ones that I own. There are also some really detailed hentai ones that I've seen online as well.
