Shinobu? Yeah, that's pretty easy to see considering that Maria, Shinobu and Sasami all share in the "shy" personality type. What makes Maria different is that she isn't a lolita, which is something Aoi House doesn't have. I mean, they're on a college campus. It just wouldn't fit.

The term "lolita" comes from the book (and, later, movie) of the same name. The term has since become used as a term to describe any attractive girl that looks under than the age of consent (i.e. jail bait). Japanese stereotypes take it to the extreme and literally have lolitas as being little girls.
