If there is one that would be interesting, but I still think the voices are the key to the anime. I know we've all debated who should be which character in terms of seiyū or VA's but I truly think that is the key.

We all hear the characters in certain ways so if we hear say Maria as a soft almost overly shy type of character and instead she gets the voice of a confident but slightly stuttering character it could be jarring.

Same with ones like Oniichan and even Echiboo. I mean I can't imagine Alex sounding like a New York Cabbie (no offense to NYC Cabbies out there) but maybe some do?

Still I would love to see this as an anime someday if done so smoothly I see the characters I love come more to life through animation.

If it does become an anime, I think it could definitely pull off the story in fifteen eps or less. Short series are always good.

Actually that is one of my fears, short series can be very good, as can short 15 minute episodes such as those from Steel Angel Kurumi, but if a series is too short it has to compress too much and basically tell one story in a series of stories.

I think a full 25 to 26 episode series could do Aoi House more justice if we all think more series then one chapter from the lives of type of anime.

I don't think it's very likely for an American manga-style comic to be adapted to animation. Especially given the premise of Aoi House, I don't think it would have much of an audience; all the obscure anime references would go right over the heads of a lot of viewers. It doesn't help that Adult Swim's anime ratings are pretty low from what I've heard. Also, considering how puritanical the American mainstream media can be, I don't know that all the talk of gay porn would go over too well with censors. Finally, I'm not sure, but I think there might be some hefty royalty fees for some of the pop culture references.

That said, if Aoi House were made into a cartoon... maybe it's just the glasses, but the first time I laid eyes on him, I imagined Sandy sounding exactly like Mousse from Ranma 1/2.

What, I think that Brad Swaille ( Quatre in Gundam Wings, Light in Deathnote, and Mousse in Ranma 1/2) is good enough for Sandy.
