D2-M1
Mission: Gather supplies.
Team: Jay, Stacia Williams, Melissa Kelly, Mike Byrens, Erica Manns, Sean Edgar Himmlisch, Logan Smith
Items: 5 Backpacks, 2 Hunting Rifles, 2 Shotguns, 3 Handguns, 1 collapsible baton, 1 set Walkie-Talkies, 1 Dead GPS Unit, 1 Toolbox, 5 Lamps, 1 Emergency Flashlight, 2 First Aid Kits
Plans: Group will travel south along the main road, scouts will enter each new area first, and then report zombie presence back to main group, staying low to minimize visual recognition by zombies. 4 stores will be entered and looted for all useful supplies in the following order; The Gun Store, the electronic store, the grocery store and the pharmacy. At the grocery store, carts will be obtained to increase carrying capacity for the team. Important supplies will be carried in backpacks, in case the carts must be abandoned. Upon leaving each location, doors should be secured if possible to reduce chance of future zombie intrusion and make future searches of said location safer. Emphasis is to be placed on weaponry/ammunition, food/water, medical supplies, communication/navigation equipment, batteries, & cleaning supplies in that order.
Approval: J, ExplodingJoe, Tenjen, Miss Vavavavoom, (Pending)

D2-M2
Mission: Sanitize 564 Main Street, collect uncatalogued supplies.
Team: Veronica Duvall, Kevin Conners, Harry Burns
Items: 2 Knives, 2 Handguns, 1 Lamp, 1 First Aid Kit, 1 Toolbox, 1 Fireaxe, 1 Set Firefighting Gear
Plans: All dead bodies are to be removed to the area behind 564 Main Street. Said bodies should only be handled after their spinal chords have been safely severed, and direct contact should be avoided.A visual inspection should be made of each body, and any immediate apparent useful equipment collected into a separate pile for sterilization at a later time. Basic hygiene etiquette concerning contact should be maintained, equipment which if visibly contaminated with bodily matter or fluids should be ignored, but made note of. Afterward, all supplies not collected by the D1-M2 team should be collected and cataloged.
Approval: J, ExplodingJoe, Tenjen, Miss Vavavavoom, (Pending)

in the interest of expedience, i took the liberty of putting Logan Smith on the expedition team, but i can swap him for Harry Burns if Some Guy prefers the sanitation team.

Results
Mission Part A, Gun Store: Success
Gains: 3 Rifles, 65 rounds. 2 Shotguns, 43 shells. 1 smg, 78 rounds. 4 handguns, 89 rounds
Kills: 7
Losses: 2 rifle rounds, 6 shotgun shells, 3 handgun rounds
Store Status: Stripped clean and sealed up tight
Evaluation: Flawless execution, avoided detection all the way to the store. The store had already been broken open and looted previously but not completely. Killed zombies inside, looted, and secured the building.
Mission Part B, Electronics Store: Success
Gains: 2 sets of walkie-talkies, 4 batteries, 1 dual unit charger. 1 GPS unit, 3 batteries, 2 car chargers. 4 flashlights, 8 batteries.
Kills: 12
Losses: 4 rifle rounds, 6 shotgun shells, 5 smg rounds, 2 handgun rounds
Store Status: Looted of mission objectives, still has several larger electronic items. Unable to secure with present supplies due to smashed display window.
Evaluation: Ran into some zombies on the street and in the store, readily handled. The store had been pre-looted but not badly so. No way to patch up the huge display window without looting some studs and plywood first.
Mission Part C, Grocery Store.: Partial success
Gains: 28 units of food, 32 units of water.
Kills: 24
Injuries: Mike Byrens took a grazing shot across the shoulder, Sean Edgar Himmlisch twisted an ankle. No time to treat either.
Losses: 7 rifle rounds, 15 shotgun shells, 6 handgun rounds, 23 smg rounds, 1 backpack, 1 lamp
Store Status: Over run with zombies and heavily looted.
Evaluation: Close call, the store was packed with zombies. Was able to funnel them by using the shelves, but one nearly got Mike from behind before Melissa shot it off, but it’s hold on his backpack ripped the bag open when it went down, breaking a lamp as the supplies spilled. Sean slipped in a puddle of cooking oil from cans destroyed in the fight, has a limp but is still mobile. A fire had gutted a big chunk of the store, but there was still a fair chunk of supplies to loot.
Surprise Phase: Zombies attracted by shopping carts
Results: Near disaster
Kills: 34
Losses: 19 units of food, 24 units of water, 12 rifle rounds, 21 shotgun shells, 32 smg rounds, 32 handgun rounds
Injuries: Jay jammed his shoulder forcing a door shut on some zombies, Sean’s ankle has swollen from running on it, and Mike’s shoulder is bleeding worse.
Evaluation: Showed the need for panic planning. Login took off on his own, it’s a miracle he made it back to base alive, though he did at least bring a cart of water and food with him. Jay likewise went off alone trying to draw the zombies’ attention to himself, which he was highly successful in doing. Fortunately he had the sense to grab a walkie-talkie, so we know he’s alive but trapped on the 4th floor of an office building. The rest of the group managed to stick together but was forced to head back to HQ by the increasing number of zombies being drawn to the area. Much of the food and water had to be left behind in the carts. Everyone is badly shaken up by the event.
Mission Part D, Pharmacy: Failure
Evaluation: Unable to attempt after team was scattered.
XP for entire mission: 25

Results
Mission: Success
Gains: 12 units of food, 13 units of water, 1 handgun and 18 rounds, 1 first aid kit, 3 days worth of candles, 19 batteries, 1 potted tomato plant, 1 sword, 3 hunting knives, 2 days lamp fuel, 1 day camping stove fuel, keys to an RV, 3 sets of cold weather clothing.
Evaluation: Flawless mission. All bodies were neatly and properly removed to the alleyway behind the building without incident. One zombie turned out to still be alive (still undead? Still moving anyway) but it’s severed spine prevented it from being able to do more than growl and snap. It is being kept alive for the time being incase one of the doctors wants to examine it. The rest were piled behind the pizza parlor. Scavenging went well, the previous tenants clearly not having had time to pack up everything before they took off.
XP: 20

RP XP (everyone): 10

A whispered voice comes over the radio, "I'm fine, don't try to rescue me. Every zed in the neighborhood is agitated now, it's too dangerous to go out. I've got a place to hide, so I'm going to hunker down for the night and slip out once they've calmed down."

Jay surveys his surroundings, looking for an empty closet or bathroom or office he can lock himself, and then curls up in the darkest corner he can find to spend the night.

Alright, but maintain radio contact at all times. We will see about rescuing you tomorrow. Those things should have calmed down by then.

"I'd rather not run down my only batteries or risk being heard unnecessarily. I'll call if I need help, but there's nothing much i can do to help you from here, so no reason for you to contact me. If I don't check in at dawn, just assume that I'm dead and go on without me. We'll see how things look in the morning light. Out" Jay turns his radio off and holds his gun tight.

Who knows where Jay is trapped? I'm heading this rescue mission
I suggest we travel fast and quiet, so we don't need many folks
coming with.

I'll spearhead the operation with my gear to minimize injury.
I'd prefer to have a friend watching my back, but if anyone has
decided to wait on this one then I'm going it alone.

No one is left alone to the dark. Not while I'm alive.

*Kevin hefts his axe and sets about putting his gear back on. His actions seem quickened by cold determination and purpose.*

Kevin. You heard Jay. We need to trust him to survive until morning. Going out now would just get us killed. How would we rescue anyone then? I want to save him as much as you do, but it's impossible.

himmlisch looks at his charge's, Mike's, shot shoulder. He'd failed in his capacity as a doctor, in being of any use at all and had infact been a burden when the push came to shove as shit went down. He felt horrible and he was starting to feel worse, worrying more and more about J being stuck out there. There was some relief from hearing him over the radio though

Mike man..sorry. Thats my fault. I should have done a quick and basic patch up with the little time we had, rather than wait to do a proper patch up when we reached the pharmacy. Delaying was a mistake on my part. Shit can happen at any moment and it did. No matter the circumstances after a decision even if it seemed reasonable at the time, the results were my responsbility. Again, sorry.

Logan... You shoulda left me behind, man. You and the group could have moved faster without me and the zombies after us that J didnt pull away would have stopped for me. You're role and contribution to the group as a whole is too significant to risk on any single on of us. Still.. though..thanks for saving me..i might say all i just did but iam happy to be alive in the first place to say stuff like that and iam damned grateful i'am not being torn apart by zombies right now. I'll just stop my whining and do better next time. Oh and..I owe you personally logan, I'll pay you back for that somehow.

Sean looks at ronnie more, thinking how its great to see a medical peer..part of him realising that thats not the only reason its great to see her, surviving after that ordeal had put everything in a different perspective, brighter.

Hey Ronnie, i'll fill you in on us, though you can pretty much see for yourself. A shot grazed Mike's shoulder when a zombie nearly got him, its bleeding much more now than before because of us rushing here. As for me, I twisted my ankle like a fool doing somersaults on spilt cooking oil in the shop. I wasnt so bad when i got it, iam sure it isnt broken i was able to move somewhat. The mad rush here has made it a whole lot worse but i still doubt its strained. I'll just leave it to you to decide that though. Doctors are their own worst patients afterall.

[whispers@ronnie when she gets close enough] adding to what i told Logan, i'am also glad iam back here to see your face again after my groups mission went to hell. congrats on doing so well on your own mission by the way[/whisper]

*whispers back* Thank you dear. I'm glad you're alright. (normal voice) I think I should check out your ankle and of course, I'll tend to Mike's arm.

As for Jay, we should try to rescue him but as of now, he's fine. I trust him. He's a great man and fighter so I know he's capable of taking care of himself. He won't do anything to rash that could end up getting himself killed. Right now, we'll just have to wait until things die down.

Poor Sean. I don't want him to feel bad about this whole ordeal. It wasn't his fault that Jay got caught. He's a good man, I can tell. He makes me feel safe. I hope he realizes how good a man he is and how important he is.

And what if he's discovered? I don't buy the needs of the many kick he's on.
Its a matter of principle, no one gets left behind, no one gets left alone.
I meant what I said, I'll go alone if I have to.

Surprise Phase: Jay, Hiding spot discovered
Evaluation: Managed to create successful decoy and slip away from the horde without notice. Relocated to roof top access, steel door and heavy deadbolt to provide a more secure barrier.
Losses: 1 set of clothing

Surprise Phase: Home Base under attack
Evaluation: The group managed to drive back the incursion and reinforce the front door, though at the cost of making it unopenable for the time being. Kevin suffered some minor injuries charging into the middle of the fray in order to force the door shut. More alarming is the amount of zombie blood splashed on his clothing and person. Erica suffered a nasty puncture wound from an old nail while tearing out a wall stud for building material. The group is a bit wound up, but dealing well.
Kills: 17
Losses: 8 rifle rounds, 5 shotgun shells, 18 handgun/SMG rounds

NEver mind me Ronnie, you did good with my leg before and iam fine as long as i dont put weight on it and exercise it regularly. *hops about on one leg to help the injured, speaking in a affirmative, very doctor-like[ but not superior] that contrasts with his hopping about*

Kevin! That was a huge risk you took, Good job but damn! Get your clothes off, they've zombie blood on them, shit so do you. We dont have any water running here, wipe yourself clean with some clean cloth *sparingly moistens up some relatively clean rages with his water ration and or actually Ronnie tend to kevin, wear gloves, be careful, help him get his clothes off..urb and er.. *derails for a second realizing what he just said* check to see to make sure he just has bruises, treat any skin breakages immediately. Sorry, you're a capable medical expert, you know what to do and more without me having to say. Kevin help her out and be communicative about your body *irks at self again*

Kevin after you're cleaned patched up, we may need to keep a watch on you just in case. Somebody get him some clothes that fit him more or less.

*hops to erica*

*tends to erica* Good work erica, i wont say anything about you hurting yourself, you did what was needed on short notice. Was the nail intact after it pierced you? iam gonna assume it was quite dirty and old. I know it seems crazy but i need the wound to bleed for a while, it flushes stuff out. *lets the wound bleed out for a while at first, then cleans and applies pressure with a clean rag, after a while Sean views the wound and picks out tiny debris with tweezers and cleans the wound to make sure, he then applies anti-biotic salve and bandages the puncture after it dries to keep it getting dirty* Dont instigate the wound. Erica before civilisation went to hell did you get your tetanus shots?how long ago? Decade, half a decade? I hope you did but i'am gonna give you a shot anyway.
