I don't know what's wrong with "hemel" but it's a proper Dutch word for Heaven.

We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

We can not know one way or the other. In a glass tank or a mobile meat sack, it is still your choice in any given situation, either to open your arms with love, or to raise your fist in hate. In any form, your life's worth is what you choose make of it, by thought and deed.
