Okay, I do not know this type of monster. Not deeply into far eastern mythology.

Conveniently "Futakuchi-onna" is the name of the monster in question. It's like if Layla and Nina's last name was "Vampire". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futakuchi-onnaDon Alexander wrote:MEEP!

I honestly thought the lack of colors was deliberate. In addition to the Futakuchi monster, she could easily be a take on Japanese horror movies like the Grudge and the Ring, films that have few other colors than black and white.

Definately freaky... I must say this to our lovely writer, she does dig deep into various mythos....

I like Chloe and Brooke's response to Miss Futakuchi's hair. medusa hair FTW

Interesting choice of monster to include... I'd never even heard of Futakuchi-onna until this strip. Kudos on expanding my mythology base Giz

Gredinus, thanks for reminding us of one of the two most evil cartoon characters ever to grace ink... that poor coyote... (As for the other, also a bird, but shorter and yellower (or pinker in the early days)) ;)
