Damn! I just realized the meaning of "Kitty" myself just a few minutes ago! A possible French translation is "Chatte" which literally means "female kitty", but which can also mean...

"Pussy."

It was established a while ago(about 5th strip in intro chapter) that although Blair's body is that of a female doll the spirit in it is male.

I believe that t has been consistently referred to as 'he'. Also, the cast page:

Blair
(Possessed doll)
Age unknown.
Nina's doll, who's possessed by a male soul.

The real question is why it seems to have no objection to the feminine attire selected by it's owner.
