Nitpick, Voorhees - it's a Dutch name.

JJ (as I'm going to call him until his real name comes up) certainly has the height of Jason (actually, he looks even taller - the tallest actors to play Jason are only 6'5"...unless Nina's ridiculously short - ~3'* - JJ's probably closer to 7', maybe even closing on 8'.)

* Unlikely. Assuming Kade and Layla are about average height for teenagers, Nina's between 4' and 5'. Still short for her age, but not as ridiculously so.

You know... that could just be Jeffrey, The Groundskeeper that was mentioned a few strips ago... /:)

Its cute though how they both scream at each other like that :) It'll be interesting to see how this turns out...

I think bear is right.

Though the "J" is a nice little spoof...

So, my bet is that despite looking like Jason, Jeffrey is actually a big, slightly (?) mentally deficient teddy bear guy (lawnmower man, anyone?) that the kids always make fun of but who never really gets angry.

Which, really, is what Jason would be, if it weren't for his mom getting killed in the first movie. (Well, by the original canon, anyway...I have no idea what the new flick has done to it.)

And remember - they don't want humans knowing about the school, so even the groundskeeper would be a monster. A Jason-like revenant (albeit with a less hostile reason for coming back) is not unlikely.

It's Jason Voorhees' long-lost good twin brother, Jeffrey Voorhees. :p

To be honest, I've never seen a Jason film in my life, so I can't really make too many comparisons outside of the usual traits Jason has in pop culture. I bet he's completely normal under that mask and wears it simply to protect his tender face from man-eating plants.

cute! nice subverson of the "big masked slasher" trope. I wonder what this fellow's grasp on the english language is? Can he talk, or just understand when other people are talking?

Cut her some slack, she doesn't know anymore about this guy then we do.
And fellows who wear hocky masks, no icescates, and carry gardening implements have a certain reputation, after all.

(And I don't really know what dismeberment even does to a vampire in this world, aside from cutting off the head and filling it with garlic it may not actually kill our blood drinking freinds. Even so, it doesn't seem like a particulary pleasant way to spend an afternoon.)
