Just something I thought about when I saw the first panel of today's comic.

Hope you all find it as funny as I did.

Question: Is fanart involving nudity (e.g. shower scenes) allowed in this thread?

I'd say no, unless, like in today's comic, everything is covered up. Eerie Cuties is PG-13 and the forum is as well.

Theoretically, you could post it in the Ma3 fanart page behind an NSFW link, as things like boobs/nipples/asses are allowed there.

Also, have to rember that since the characters portrayed are 16 at the oldest... technically anything more revealing can be against a countries laws.

I'm not sure nude drawn art of minors is considered child pornography, as far as lawful terms go. However, it may be offensive material to some for that reason. Behind a link (in the MA3 Fanart thread) or using tasteful censorship would most likely be allowed.

It depends on the country. In Canada and even the U.S., non-photographic nude art of fictional minors is currently, as I understand it, permitted, although one still has to be cautious because not everyone, not even all law enforcement folks, quite gets that. In Australia, it's most definitely not permitted, no matter how fictional and how non-photographic. There was a recent case where an Australian man was prosecuted quite severely for possession of lolicon manga.

So although I don't personally have any moral issues with nude depictions of fictional minors (beyond a squick factor if the characters are obviously well below their mid-teens), because they don't harm anyone** ...I do think, given the international nature of the Internet, it's prudent not to post art that could get some readers in trouble with the law, especially if they weren't expecting to find it. (Not that "I had no idea, your honour!" would necessarily hold up in court, but, y'know...)

**Well, if the characters are someone else's there may be a "creator's moral rights" intellectual property issue. E.g. many authors are okay with not-for-profit fanfic featuring their characters as long as it's not pornographic or extremely gory. But that's a whole other legal issue.

I did this because I was curious as to how well I could color in the new B&W comics. Even though it was fun, I spent more time than I cared too and I don't think I'll do more though.
