I think the issue is that they need 2, maybe 3 new artists to help out, or maybe some to help out with the shipping

the ones we have have not only the duties of Pixie trix, and of working on shipping but have duties of other online comics and/or working in traditional medium (DC, Marvel and similar companies)

Over the past few months, updates on Magick Chicks are spotty, at best, and Dangerously Chloe is down to maybe once a week. Even Eerie Cuties updates have become sporadic. The only comic that seems to update regularly is Menage a 3, and even those updates have been disrupted.

For the good of all, should one be either canceled or put on indefinite hiatus (which is almost as good as canceled)? This would allow all the artists and writers here more breathing room to normalize updates. I know fans of the comic under the ax would be upset -- I would be, too, because I still enjoy them all -- but wouldn't this action be for the greater good?

Totally my opinion, but MC seems to be the logical choice. The storyline could be quickly wrapped, and the characters re-absorbed into EC.

true Don

but some are not just critical, but demanding

even some suggesting killing comics

while others simply state the facts and prefer to be understanding specially when this is a basically a free comic UNTIL they get to sell the volumes after they are done, and they are not like Trudeau that lives basically by doing full-time the Doonesbury strip

and we appreciate their work and willingness to give as much of their time as possible

It's Shouri's birthday? Many Happy Returns indeed, then.

Is Cool Cat Studio part of the *C-verse comics?

No. We've seen cameos in EC/Ma3 but in both cases, it was done for fun.

It's likely the primary reason for the hiatus later this year is that the creative team behind the *C-verse are involved in lots of other projects, reducing the time they can spend on the strips. It's quite likely they have plenty of ideas for the universe (heck, what started off as a single webcomic launched two spin-offs, plus a short crossover with Adam Arnold's PMS), but the ad revenue / book sales alone don't pay the bills - so increasingly this universe is more of a spare time project, as they don't have enough time between them to pump out regular updates of all three series. The hiatus will therefore give them some breathing space while they decide what to do next - hopefully the three series will continue, even if the frequency for each strip reduces to once a week / fortnight.

I can easily see EC continuing. It doesnt have much of an arch-plot, so kf they wanted to bring it back for a one or two chapter episode, that would be no trouble to write. And IMO is what that one should be. More an episodic sitcom about student cryptids.

MC would be harder though. It's always been driven by a continuous developing plot. To bring it back right would mean plotting out a new story arc, and finding an artist with the time to put into it. Which is too bad as MC is the one I enjoy more due to the story. But I love the characters, more so than the EC crew, so hope I get to see more ofthem.

about MC

taking that current storyline is all about Cerise................ we would still have the Hekate thing to solve( unless she is solved along Cerise) and we still have the EC school Principal to deal with, plus how Mel settles the dust with Skye and school, the moms and other things has enough juice to form a new book

Not where I was going. Yes, there is plenty mote story thst could be told withMV. But any of it would require a new extended arc be plotted out, and one of the artists, or a new one, would need to be dedicated to it for a long time. EC however could just do something quickb. A few weeks or months here and there. much kess dedicated work.

since you are all so busy with working on so many projects, i thought you might be short an artist. would it be impolite to recommend one?

i think he's currently looking for a new project now that blade bunny has ended. i know it's unlikely your crew would be interested. but i feel like it can't hurt to give a recommendation.
