even though DC and EC had disappointing endings (I don't know if MC had a bad ending because i never read it), i really hope that the team is just plain done with them.
I won't spoil MC for you, except to say it was my favorite *C-verse comic and my favorite Pixie Trix in general. So I hope you enjoy it.

The only things that disappointed me about EC's ending were all the hanging plot threads (like this one) that will likely remain unresolved, since their next project is a continuation of the Má3-verse instead.

I doubt they ran out of ideas, 'cuz there's still plenty of ground to cover between EC and MC.

Of course, this also explains why the trolls and haters in the forum had so little success when they tried to pressure the creative team.
Just because someone criticized the story doesn't mean they are a "troll" or a "hater", not does it mean they were trying to pressure the creative team.

Forums aren't an echo chamber.

Well what left is there to say?

This series was a roller coaster to be sure. I really enjoyed watching the characters and their adventures, especially Teddy. ...Unfortunately things seemed to take an unfortunate turn once "Teddi" took a more prominent role. It just seemed like the focus was lost and it was less about quirky characters and more about fanservice.

And hey don't get me wrong, I'm fine with fanservice. Not so much fanservice at the cost of the original character. Things just dragged on for too long. Pandora's prank, Teddi's self indulgence, it seemed like the only characters who were really going somewhere ended up with far less time on screen. What did Gabby and Tandy get up to after Abby got teleported away, for example? They still know the family are still not human, right?

It just seemed like the series ran out of gas near the end.

I feel generally good about this series. I remember egging the writer to keep things weird, little knowing how weird it was actually going to get. I guess I'm into weirdness. Who knew? :) To my mind, just when things seemed a tad predictable, there would pop up some kind of amusing surprise to keep things interesting, and I am glad about that. I hope there will be more fun webcomics soon. :)

Oh, this ended? Personally got out when Pandora's prank went down. That was probably a bridge too far for me and I just came here to shitpost. That sort of lost its fun after a while and I phased out.

But I guess congrats for finishing?

Well, I did as I said, though 6 months turned into about 14 months.
(No way I'm going through all the forum posts though.)

Yeah, I thinking about just bookmarking this & catch up in 6 months, maybe binge-reading will make things better. Frankly, I'm just bored with DC, character-wise things have been rather pathetic for a while ; plot-wise with only 2 updates a week each - ending with a punchline of sorts, things are moving at a snail's pace ; fanservice-wise I don't find any of the semi-recent character portrayals & situations remotely sexy ; lastly, all the jokes have fallen rather flat for me for the last year or so.

Of course on the other hand, since I've put Mà3 on ice as well & SOTR is on hiatus until eisu's hand heals, it would mean that I would stop coming to Pixie Trix altogether, which would be kind of sad.

Going back to this after over a year and binging the remaining chapters with a fresh perspective was an interesting experience for sure. First off, I'll say the comic is a much smoother read if you binge the thing rather than wait 3-4 days between each strip. That way, you don't really have time to over-analyze every strip - I think this holds true for all pixie-trix's stuff by the way since most of them are comedy & fanservice first, plot & characters second.

Second, plot-wise I must that it was rather predictable, all the big plot beats were pretty much figured out here on the forum ages ago, and common sense can get thrown out the window for the sake of comedy. That being said, I think it was still a fun ride, it was refreshing to see the story moving forward at a brisk pace. Most loose ends got tied up, and I thought the ending was satisfactory, everybody ended up in an okay place character-wise. So, not great for sure, but not really all that bad in the end - I usually cut comedies some slack in that regard.

Lastly, comedy and fanservice : the story got a few smiles out of me here and there, but the majority of gags still didn't work well for me. Neither did the fanservice for that matter, although it wasn't as off-putting as I remembered it.
I did feel a strong hentai/porn vibe out of it, in which some of the more questionable moments would feel right at home, not to mention the whole "insert a sex scene every two scenes" thing. Those feel out of place in a traditional western-media comedy, but aren't uncommon of in japanese-style ecchi/erotic comedy.

Final verdict : In the end, I don't think the webcomic really deserved all the bad rap it got. Quality-wise, it's fairly standard pixie trix fair : some great nuggets, some facepalming moments, sometimes funny as heck, sometimes cringy as hell. Do the good moments outweigh the bad ones ? I don't know, I'd have to re-read the entire comic to start forming an opinion on that, but I'd guess it would be on par with the other EC-verse comic, which for me is enough to make the series an enjoyable read. As I've said before, one of its biggest problem was the two-strip-per-week publishing schedule that was agonizingly slow given that (I think) the comic is supposed to be more of a fast-paced pop-corn fanservice-heavy comedy flick, rather than a slow-building character-heavy romantic comedy with fanservice added.

tldr; I enjoyed the comic despite its flaws, would read it again.

Does anyone know what happened to Teddy and Abby's mom? Did anyone ever find the answer?

I kinda wish we could have learned what happened to her and if she ever reconciled with her sister or if Chloe irreparably destroyed that relationship.
