Look, all I'm saying is, I have to pray for a solid hour before and after reading this comic, just in case I catch its gross teenage cooties.

Also...an 11 year old is not only watching porn; but porn starring her big brother. And everyone in the room sees no issue with it. :ymsick:
She doesn't look like she's enjoying it, and none of the people in that room are good role models. Pandora's right anyway, for her it is educational. Like it or not, "ew gross" morality is something she'll have to deal with sooner or later, considering her future involves a lot of immorality and corpses.

I would point out we know for a near fact that he isn't a god.
Demi god? sure.
but a god is inherently omhipotent --I don't think I can think of any instance in these universes (but ya'kno its been a while in many cases) that the gods are anything other than the inherent definition of gods. Teddi's comment on enlightment and seeing more implies it would be true.
. I.e. the slave coller shouldnl't work. Sure he said he stopped fighting it. but that means it was in fact having to fight it. Much less the fact he was having to force a contract to fix. instead of fixing it him/her/itself.
So demi god. with a fairly high degree of power that we're not really privy to persay.
We know hardly anything about the gods in these comics, given we've only seen like one other (Hecate) and had a couple talked about. What we do know is that of the gods that have been named, they've been based on gods that in their mythology were not all powerful and could be killed. The Greek gods were basically much more powerful and cosmically aware than humans, but human in many other respects. As far as I'm aware we don't know what god the angels serve, we merely assume he's the all powerful God of the Bible (or at least people assume he has the same powers as said god).

you know, I do notice you all think it's Pandora's idea to have Abby there. did anyone cosider that Abby wasn't invited and just forced herself on the gathering of older viewers not understanding what she was about to watch?
If that were the case, wouldn't shooing her out of the room be the responsible thing to do?

Kinda like Brooke used to do for Nina, and Brooke was only 14.
She’s a succubus. It’s how they roll. It’s a future of seduction, sex, and murder. Watching her brother have sex is actually tame by their standards.

Abby's still human, at least in part, and she's still 11. Then again, it's been pretty well-established by now that the DeCarlo Family is screwed up.

I thought Abby was 12? Not that it matters a ton, but outside of the birds and the bees talk she's well down the road of sexual interest. Which honestly is perfectly normal for most 12 year olds. She's kind of in a strange spot too. Unlike other succubi, she's got all her powers unlocked, even if she doesn't know how to use them properly. She's basically what Chloe was after the Doom Panties arc.

edit: I just realized she did get the talk....from Chloe and Pandora, way back. http://www.dangerouslychloe.com/strips- ... _Chapter_9

Most kids who are disgusted by what they see will run from the room, getting as far away from what disgusts them as fast as they can. Abby sits there, peeking through her fingers and continues to watch as her brother plows the succubus she considered a sister. Abby may look like a succubus; but she's still technically human (just as Teddy was still technically a human male despite looking like a girl).

My only hope is this little 'educational' video disgusts her so much she begs Teddy to have her succubus attributes reversed.

This comic is emotionally crippled. Its central relationship is a dumpster fire. Every single thing about this particular strip is ugly. Alchemy's presence makes me scratch my head at where she's been all this time. I've got nothing else at this point, folks.
Yes yes, that's all very well & good, but how do you really feel?
Also: Glenn Ficarra & John Requa called; they want their dialouge back, or at least credit.

The last panel confirms it for me.

Dave reads these forums, and thinks all the pearl clutching is hilarious.
At least someone finds the bluenoses' unending fucking one-note repeat-ad-nauseam droning-whining-moaning-bellyaching-bitching-crying-hairpulling-repressed-arousal-vapours shtick entertaining. Their Can't-Change-Their-Minds-&-Can't-Change-The-Subject bullocks is as tedious as it is predictable by now.

I'd imagine the opposite is true as well. Abby never seems shy about any of this even if, because she's a kid, she doesn't realize what she's signed up for.

The only thing human about Abby is her soul http://www.dangerouslychloe.com/strips- ... human-soul

Ilsa thought it would be an interesting experiment and didn't see a succubus ever getting into heaven anyway. It's probably why no one there is bothered about Abby's presence. Charity is an angel, but she recognizes Abby as a succubus and this is what they do. It's probably the same for Alchemy. Perhaps Naomi should object since she's still under the mistaken impression of space alien involvement, but she could just as easily have some rationalization for all this too.

Personally I'd be more bothered if Prudence was there. This is definitely something she shouldn't be seeing.

Considering demons don't have souls to begin with, wouldn't Abby retaining her human soul make her - I don't know - human?

An immortal angel who is probably centuries old shouldn't be in the room; but an 11 year old mortal child who's been turned into a succbus via magic blood injection totally should?

How some folks try to justify squick moments involving minors is rather unnerving.

I suppose the point is that she has a human soul but succubus physiology. I guess whether or not she'll get to go to Heaven will depend on what she does as a succubus to feed and how much Heaven judges by appearance.

The link also brings up the question that we haven't got to know what price Abby paid for her transformation. Will we ever get to find out or will it just be quietly left as a loose thread come the end of the comic?

Ask Ilsa about the finer points. She's the one that wrote the contract and considering the kind of succubus she is the only reason she'd include a loophole that would allow Abby to go to heaven is if it somehow caused them grief to accept her. Seeing as how Prudence was about to leave Teddy and Chloe alone when she saw there was a blood pact between them indicates there are certain rules that both sides play by. She recognized Teddy as someone who made a deal with a demon and resigned to leave him to it. Why should it be any different when Abby knew exactly what she was getting into when she signed Ilsa's contract?

Perhaps, but Prudence has the mentality of a child and while I could get into an endless argument about that I won't because they aren't real people. You do realize that right? This isn't a true story made into a webcomic. It's all played for laughs, but comedy is subjective even before people lost their sense of humor and became overly sensitive misery guts.

Except Abby didn't. She didn't exactly go through the contract with a fine tooth comb before she signed it and, as the page you linked to showed, it hadn't even occurred to her that she might be selling her soul.

And if this is all comedy and played for laughs why should it bother you if Prudence was seeing the video? When did you lose your sense of humour and become an "overly sensitive misery guts"?
