Perhaps, but Hell seems to be the kind of place where raw power matters more than political. Ilsa is the Headmistress of Tartarus Academy so her demon ranking must be exceptionally high to keep all of her succubi in line. And seeing as how Teddy was not just twisting her arm, but her very molecular structure to get the contract voided and she still wouldn't budge should be a clue about how much stamina Ilsa has.
If Dwayne Johnson twisted my arm and I refused to give in, that wouldn't mean I was resilient. That'd just be me being stubborn (and foolish, 'cuz he'd snap my arm like a twig).

All we know about Ilsa is, she's Chloe's teacher and she happens to be the only one we've seen at Tartarus U. No one said she's in charge of the entire school. Kinda like how we only saw three of the teachers at CH.

Weird... A story told in passing that looks vastly more interesting than the actual story we got!
It’s relatively easy to think of good ideas for stories; the hard part is actually writing the damn things. That’s why professional writers get really, really pissed off with idiots who say “I’ve got a great idea for a story; if you write it, we could split the money fifty-fifty!”

So the stories mentioned in passing in this comic are always going to be better than the one we actually see.
True, but my point was that the main story should have been at least comparable to the level of imagination showcased here. It's fine that the abbreviated adventures look better, however, they shouldn't look so much better that it feels insulting how little we were given in the story proper.
The main story did have this level of imagination, at the beginning. Everyone seems to forget amidst all their bitching and complaining that DC has been running for seven years now, which realistically was three years too long. A lot of the stuff after chapter 18 and up was just superfluous filler that would change nothing if it were excised from the story. It's obvious there was no map for where this story was supposed to go until the very end, just an idea that got stretched too thin for too long as more and more stuff got made up on the fly.

Writing is bloody hard work and knowing when to "put a fucking pin in it and call it done" is arguably the hardest part, but when the stories you write are you primary source of income, putting something out to pasture that should have ended years ago makes it even harder.

Point is, DC just went on for too damn long.

- who okayed the Artemis girls training Abby?
Good question, but way back when they first met Abby, they had suggested taking her to Artemis for training since she wasn't really a danger.

Now, whether the full unlocking of Abby's succubus abilities has changed things (or for that matter, whether that's been undone through revoking/unmaking the contract and Abby just has the lingering tail, wings, and horns), that remains unknown, but clearly those two don't think things have changed enough.

Do they even know about that part?

If they don't, I'm sure they'll find out at the right time for maximum wacky consequences.

I'd be pretty happy with a Naomi spin off.
and or featuring the lil sister being trained /combating evil (and growing up in a better way than chloe or her brother with regards to life and powers and such)

But here is the thing, they'll never be as interesting as you're assuming they'll be, especially for you, Olli. You already dislike the comic for how it's written, even if one page seems interesting for you from time to time. If it was stretched out into a full story you'll probably still dislike it anyway, cause its still written by the same person.
Yep.

For those of us who have tried all our lives to become published writers, it is something we know well: Ideas grow on trees. Creative types are usually up to their eyeballs in ideas for things.

I could easily write ten pages of this comic based off of any idea I had over breakfast. The rub happens when I reach page eleven. That when you find out if the idea has the legs to be something bigger.

Personal opinion, but I found it was around Chapter 12-13 (the conclusion of the Valentine's Day arc) that things just started going downhill, plot wise. Namely, when Chloe deliberately sabotaged a potential relationship between Teddy and Trianna because she suddenly had a change of heart when it came to voiding that infernal contract by helping him land a girlfriend - her excuse being she'd never see him again after the fact.

Still makes me wonder how that was a likely outcome when succubus seem to visit the mortal plain quite often.

Well, that's getting too hypothetical, but perhaps you are right. However, even if I didn't like it, the dislike could be less, if that makes sense; yet, like I said, too hypothetical to know without any significant doubt.

I didn't forget the potential of the beginning, which is why my frustration never died down.

Also, you do have a point about the strip running too long, but as others have noted, there seemed to a fundamental lack of interest in any further story development in the creative team. Perhaps just for the old ad revenue (if the content could even be considered "safe" for ads) or a contractual obligation, there didn't seem to be any heart in the work, thus the majority of the comic ended up being the laziest, often sleaziest option available, damn if it did or didn't make a satisfactory narrative or likeable characters.

My criticisms weren't simply because I found the content poorly written and excessively smutty (I happen to enjoy fanservice-y shows when there are actual characters to gravitate towards, instead of the barest of archetypes), but rather because I remembered the spark of imagination that could have been. While none of it may be considered exceptional, there was potential for an engaging fantasy story.
