ok, what complaints do you all have about this now?

Well, consent or lack thereof has never stopped him before! (Yes, I'm being more snarky than actually criticising; I undertstand it is a well used trope, rather than *advocating* something bad, however, with Ted's track record, one cannot help but see an "old fashioned romance")

Blown out of proportion comparisons aside, the attempt at sentimentality made me chuckle. In spite of how genuinely emotional the final panel appears, this doesn't deliver the presumably intended effect by the fact that it has not only been unearned, but also sabotaged by the events previous to now; shoving a supposedly romantic embrace in front of the audience in spite of Teddi's whoring and... Actually, beyond that criticism for now, putting the grotesquely exaggerated sexual promiscuity aside, Ted's lack of interest in Chloe (which equated to apathy of her for the majority of the time) and her learning of Ted's illicit double life yet never properly reacting to it, makes both seem unfit for each other.

To end on a positive note - the profile of macho Ted doesn't look as ridiculous as his doofy 4th wall-facing stance. Also, the aforementioned emotionality of the art is mostly good, regardless of its absent justification.

Be honest - who among us who've been here since the first strip are so invested in this story that you're genuinely moved by this update?

Sorry - I feel nothing for a couple (and I use the term loosely) who have shown zero love/romantic interest in each other until this moment. Seeing as Teddy confirms that Naomi is his girlfriend, Chloe is just another shag to add to his ever growing list of lovers - just with the added bonus of being the 'hero' by 'saving her life via excessive boinking'.

This update feels incredibly cheap/hollow.

So.. Is the plan. Literally... "F88K the crazy out of her" ??
cause presumably as we know, she likes him but he doesn't seem to like her romantically.
But does seem to think of her along the lines of family in a weird sorta way.
At least I don't I've ever seen them romantically.. She has her feral deamonic lust thing going on and he had... well a lot of weird crap. They honestly seem more like siblings or cousins if you cut out the deamon perv stuff.

So.. it seems like the plan really is "bang out the first time feral rage" since this whole thing was about being strong enough to not die from her right?


So.. as "arguing siblings" I see this is as a good moment. Except.. for ya'kno. the banging.
can a succubus and an incubus even do the do? I feel like there are probably rules against that?
Or like.. why wouldn't that be a thing that came up earlier?

Yeah. If I had any reason to think that Teddy had any real interest in Chloe then I might feel moved but as it is it just looks like Teddy's getting another notch on his bedpost to add to all the others we've seen him get - the bullies/harem, an unspecified number of jocks, Pandora, Alchemy, the two gardeners and the entire football team - and God alone knows how many others we weren't "lucky" enough to see.

I feel as this is as much a true love story as if Shakespeare had shown us Romeo declaring his love for Juliet from a variety of Verona's brothels fresh from sampling the merchandise.

Chloe has, for a very long time now, made it perfectly clear that she wants Teddy. For all sorts of reasons, though beastial life-threatening hunger is chief at the moment. Her consent is not in question.

Ted, on the other hand, could die. His life is in mortal peril right now and he knows it. *His* consent is what is important here, as weird as that sounds to say.

So the sweeping her off her feet bit is important. He’s saying to her, don’t worry about protecting me, I’m here for this.

We're the most vocal, sure; but we're hardly the only ones who are disappointed/annoyed with what this comic has become.

Yes, exactly. This will also, as far as I can recall, be his first time as a male having sex with a female. I'm not yet certain that he has actually shown affection for Naomi, but he's been pretty consistent in trying to help Chloe, even if his attempts were inept and ultimately useless, but did derail the comic into a kind of cut-rate Ma3 for a while.

All very good points, but for the usual naysayers it’s sexual assault unless Teddy gets a written agreement with a notary present.
