It’s not so much the idea of a hypocritical clergyman that amuses me (like you say, that’s Older Than Print, and likely Older Than Feudalism); it’s the rhythm of the joke — first setting up the idea that the priest was moralistic, and then deflating it by showing that he was apparently using his “morality” to get free lap dances. That’s a competent bit of writing.

You gotta love the fact that Teddy and Chloe relationship got so sidelined that, I don't even care if Teddy and Namoi feels rushed and forced at least it has like a tiny bit of build up and foundation unlike the wasteland that was Teddy and chloe. So if I gotta have one I'd rather that then whatever the hell the former was shapping into
