I think she's more likely to enroll at Artemis. She's supernatural, but not a cryptid. And if she is indeed one of those girls who likes kissing other girls she'll be happy there.

If Prudence couldn't figure out Chastity was Pandora I doubt she'll be any wiser about this.

And while Charity's reaction to her new look doesn't conclusively prove that she was sober when it was done she likes what she sees and is only embarrassed since she's just run into someone she knows.

I don't know what I find more unusual that she got dressed in her new clothes after bathing before going to sleep or that she was apparently using Teddi's backside as a pillow.

Wait, from Prudence's point of view, hasn't Charity been missing for over a week? I know she is ditzy, or rather, dumb, but her loitering with Naomi at cake shops makes Prudence seem pretty terrible... Though, I guess she is the one character with distractibility as a character trait, as opposed to every other character that is made unfocused through weak writing.

Guess Charity *likes* her new look of a super-dated punk rocker lesbian? Sorry, super-dated punk rocker lesbian from a parody porn. Despite the penchant for "rebelliousness," I doubt most self-respecting female punk rockers would wear an open jacket that their bare tits are barely covered by.
Despite liking it, it seems her clarity has returned a sense of shame; don't know if it is due to embarrassment or desire to maintain a sense of superiority over Prudence... Don't quite care either way, but it's something to ponder about.

Judging from the punny title, this is the second last chapter of the series as a whole, and boy it doesn't feel like we're at the Gates of Mordor. Granted, this comic isn't a grand fantasy epic, but it is supposedly a supernatural romantic sitcom, and it doesn't even feel like Ross and Rachel's penultimate break up (a Friends reference).

{This disclaimer written after the following; sort of tangential to the current update, though in a way is pertaining to the series overall.}

Which relationship is there that has had any sufficient development that the audience should be invested in? Teddy/i/y and Chloe have had zero chemistry for years (well, about a year in strip time) - I guess "absence makes the heart grow fonder," but it was always Chloe who cared more about Teddy and the latter found her to be a burden that, due to guilt or something, he eventually decided to become the "champion" for, and be a shockingly unfocused one at that; Al is just another hedonistic a-hole to add a notch into Ted's belt (albeit, a slightly *better* one in that Al did it of his own free will, rather than pheromone intoxication), also, there is the fact Al "trades" sex with Teddi/y to gain something from somewhere to compensate for a life he inadvertently saved through Teddi... because the *universal laws* are more like suggestions that Al can ignore if he gets his rocks off; Naomi had some huge character development off-panel to give some unearned sense of bonding between her and the divided Teds; Pandora is a joke character (so one that doesn't really need development), although she instead ended up being far more obnoxious and rarely, if ever, funny; Abby is so stupid that even by dumb kid "logic" she shouldn't have survived without accidentally forgetting how to breathe; the interchangeable strippers that are wannabe "actors" by virtue of acting in caricatures of their respective races; and perhaps a few other minor or supporting characters that have passed by like air so that you couldn't distinguish them from the next.
I suppose the bright side is that this sadly cyclical spin-off will finally end. Will there be some magnificent twist that will make all of the aborted plot lines, annoying characters, unfulfilled character and plot development, weak smut, tepid fanservice, and unfunny jokes worthwhile? Well, in spite of the rhetorical seeming nature of that question, and despite all that wasted potential, I still hope there will be a satisfactory conclusion. It won't make up for the disappointment, yet there could at least be an ending at which most will think, "huh, not bad."

So, despite the indication she was hammered when she got her makeover; Charity is totes cool with her new look - suddenly adopting the attitude of a rebel, as if she had always secretly been one and a night of drunken debauchery freed her to become the real her.

Yeah - not buying it. I'm betting that - with Pixie Trix closing soon - it was just easier to write Charity accepting her new punk look instead of going a more interesting route and having anyone face consequences for foolish actions. Also, why is she dressed in the clothes she puked on? (you seriously can't tell me that there wasn't any splash back when she hurled unto Teddi's chest. It's literally impossible to avoid when one is in that close proximity).

An interesting twist (much like my theory on that 'dark entity' possessing Teddy was actually Chloe using Teddy to feed herself) would be that Teddy's inexplicable love for Chloe would be due to the spiritual link he shared with her (i.e. - her growing interest in him was affecting how he felt about her. In other words, it's just another form of succubus influence that neither was aware of).
Please, don't come to me expecting me to fix your problems.

I'm just amazed that she doesn't have a wicked hangover. And I wouldn't buy her Divinity as an excuse for why she doesn't have a hangover, because then realistically she couldn't get drunk in the first place.

“Who she is?” Speaking of inappropriate things... Does the author think lesbian equals leather and spikes? Ugh.

Well she might be bisexual since she still thinks Zachuriel has a “cute tush.” She’s probably a 4 on the Kinsey Scale, but I think her new look is more about rebellion than sexuality.

Me: *looks at latest SOTR and smiles*

Also Me: *looks at latest DC and grimaces*

I guess that really says it all...anyway, it's definitely rebellion-related. These angels are repressed nerdlings, of COURSE she'd have an overeager "alternative" awakening when rebelling.

A little bored at work atm so I'll throw this out there - if there was a reboot of Dangerously Chloe, how would you like it to be? A Slipshine comic? A drama comic? Comedy comic? Horror?

A few rules - settings must be largely the same (Heaven/Hell/Earth), core plot point must be the same (girlfriend succubus pact stuff) and characters must be the same but feel free to rework personalities.

Slipshine, but with the characters at a college level age. It could be enjoyed guilt free and not have the contrivance of absentee parents for the sake of the plot.

This, but also with less misandry (not sure if the author improved after I stopped reading), less flippant morality (to an understandable level), and more... You know, actual Chloe. Also might be better if the whole thing had fewer characters to concentrate on (and thus, more time to develop them).
Pretty much here for the ****posting.

I'd want it to expand on certain elements of the EC/MC-verse, like maybe having the angels play a part in keeping the public safe and unaware of the cryptids' existence. Make the angels competent, while still allowing for their quirks (like Tiff) and maybe explain how DC's version of Heaven feels about Artemis and Hecate, since they're pagan goddesses.

But I'd still want DC to have its own identity for the most part, by focusing on Chloe and Teddy living together and gradually developing feelings for each other, without Teddy's sexcapades with half the neighborhood. I like comedy and wacky hijinks, but I'm more interested in seeing the plot move forward, instead of dragging its feet.

Making Teddy a bit more level-headed would help too. I don't expect him to measure up to EC/MC standards (see: Layla, Ace, Brooke, Faith, etc.), but I feel some modicum of common sense isn't too much to ask for.

Having more characters keeps the story fresh once the main characters have done everything... and everyone. Charity’s “awakening” would certainly keep me awake. ;)
