While this strip is on the subject, could the writer please stop this tired-ass shit where someone who is introduced as one sexuality (usually straight) somehow develops feelings for someone else who is outside that sexulity (i.e. goes gay or bi) or is put into a compromising position with them out of plot contrivance? It was kind of interesting when it was a semi-serious plot point used on DiDi, Sandra and Yuki, but now every single comic in Pixietrix has done it and at this stage it's just a punchline. There ARE other ways to advance the story, you know, most of which can be done without making damn near every sexual act in your comics stink of sexual assault.

Well, maybe it DID, for a while, but the fact all existing comics are winding down and being ended several books ahead of the planned finales tells me they're not selling enough to justify their continued existences. So it clearly isn't selling THAT many comics anymore.

For the record, there's an unnecessary "s" in the final "comics" word. I meant comic SINGULAR, this one specifically. Don't know why I didn't catch it; think it's because I typed that post up with a phone keyboard and my finger kept slipping on the "i"s and "o"s, typing 8 & 9 respectively instead. Either way, Typo and I hate it.

If it was just due to Giz being incredibly busy with more mainstream comics; they'd just find a new artist to take her place (like they had with MC and DC).

So, no - Pixie Trix is coming to a close for more than just giving Giz the opportunity to focus on larger projects.

Yup. Ad revenue is tanking across the internet, that's why you've seen the rise of stuff like Patreon and other crowdfunding options. The projects Giz was doing for Archie and such are too random to rely on paying the bills, but she wasn't going to say no because those were dream jobs. She's also working on a new comic for Image, called Exorsisters.

So, something had to give. That's why Eerie Cuties and Magic Chicks had really rough endings and why Chloe is just kind of YOLO'ing toward an ending.

That still saddens me to hear. EC and MC were the best two comics Pixie Trix had to offer (imo) and both of them got schlacked with a bunch of unresolved plot threads. I'd really like to see them return one day, but I'd be worried that EC/MC might end up going down the same road as DC. In which case, I'd prefer to remember them as they were.

Indeed. Yet perhaps my lack of mentioning the pheromone aspect made it too ambiguous.
Also, the eyes look like shock, rather than pleasure or pleasant surprise at getting his butt grabbed, before the overload to the senses and pheromones took hold.

I think that startled expression comes more from Naomi catching them in the alley more than anything else. He's the alpha male/star quarterback of the football team. If it got out he was fooling around with a guy in a back alley - well - even in this day and age, it would still be scandalous.

I still agree it's technically assault, though; seeing as Chris wouldn't want anything to do anything with Teddy if the pheromones weren't involved.
