Al going for the male version makes all kinds of no sense - the dual entity of Al and Kimmy seemed attracted to Chloe's body, but also Teddy's mind, so suddenly going for the never before seen beefcake Teddy seems inconconsistent at best.
I guess it is in service of a joke, but it isn't that funny to begin with, and the lack of comedy gets compounded as Teddi had vague ideas of being Al's girlfriend (despite keeping as faithful as a beast in heat), Al himself seemed certain, so disregarding his girlfriend to "try a new model" makes Al even more like scum than prior, and he already was fairly high in terms of being scum.
If the writers wanted to do the same joke but actually make sense to keep the slightest level of characterisation, Charity and Al would be playing tug of war with the female Teddi, while God-bod Ted shared Abby's double take. The Teds could still look surprised, thus basically fixing the easy joke.

Anyway, it appears as though proximity makes the Tedentities share a mind, or at least makes the mind-sharing much stronger, but distance may help the separate personalities to become more individual.

Yeah it would have been 'more' funny if both of them tried to take female Teddi leaving the buff male Teddy standing there like 'uh, please don't leave me with my succubus sister'.

Still, i was expecting both of them to fight over girl Teddi.

Except his reaction would be exactly the same as the female body. Teddy is controlling both bodies.

Abby is a kid, but if she was my age, she would've said to Teddy "you sound like Baron Ashura!!!"



About Al taking buff Teddy, it's not out of character, she liked boy Teddy, in this strip she wished that he was bold with her.

It's true that she went overboard with girl Teddy because it was Teddy's mind in Chloe's body, but she didn't say that she was only interested in Teddy's mind, she said that she had a thing with both of them, she saw girl Teddy as a chance to have both of them.

Alchemy is gender fluid so it's no surprise they are pan sexual too. Since the male Alchemy has been with Teddi I'm not surprised that he'd want to give Teddy a shot. And this means Charity doesn't have to fight them over Teddi. Of course one has to wonder if either one of them or possibly both are bicurious.

I'd like to see Kimmy again. Just putting that out there.

The idea of separating the two Teddies and checking whether they can operate independently actually has merit. I just wish that the quest for knowledge were the main motivation, rather than obvious carnal desires...

I'm enjoying the darker humor, it's where this comic shines the best imo. I'd totally be running with the "extra Teddy" jokes too.

I sort of hope Al stays in their male body. If they go back to the female body then it makes the Al/Terry relationship seem puerly physical and follows heteronormative expectations. If they are both now Gender fluid and cofortable with eachother, then their attraction to eachother shouldn't mater if Al is male or female or if Teddy is male or female, And Al remaining male around male Teddy while they both show inerest in eachother would reinforce this.

But.. I expect them to revert back to kimmy and both characters will be portrayed as shallow.

Well, not totally meaningless. Bumping into Chloe for the first time unexpectedly woke up Al, in fact that’s the first time we saw him. On the other hand that didn’t happen later when Kimmy and Teddi were about to actually do the deed, so...

Anyway Alchemy is solidly explained there. Pansexual, non-binary, male side may have a slight preference for women.

They probably just want to take SuperTed for a spin because they haven’t yet.

On topic...

We have to address Chloe in the near. We can’t leave the titular character chained up in the basement, and Ted, my boy, there’s never gonna be a better time. Carpe that diem.

...I have to think, though, the way they talk in stereo, see through one another's eyes, feel through one another's skin - they genuinely do have a spare Teddy, don't they? No matter what happens, as long as his female body is kept away from Chloe, he won't die.

I think Teddi would be perfectly safe around Chloe, though - seeing as Chloe is craving male essence (which Teddi no longer has); so only male Teddy needs to be concerned for his well being.

Hopefully, this group is smart enough to realize that it's male Teddy that needs to be relocated.

Sure, they can! With Teddy and Teddi being separated, which will more than likely lead to more shenanigans/sexual escapades, I don't expect to see Chloe reappear until Thanksgiving - at the earliest.
