I must say that there are a lot of things I've been willing to suspend disbelief for, but this is really pushing the limits. Teddi had no problem sunbathing or wearing spring fashion, but now she's freezing. I know it's at night, but it can't be that cold.

With sensory overlap this strong, Teddy and Teddi are going to have trouble just walking around... Unless Teddi's distress is causing her to 'shout', perhaps?

That would've flown in the Nineties, but seems exceedingly outdated these days.
Anyways, can't say I'm not curious how this will pan out, but can say it feels like it will be annoying.

Yes. There’s a perfectly logical reason for all that, however, this takes place in Canada where everyone is immune to the cold.

Well, Teddy and Teddi are only part Canadian human now. Their cold resistance may well have taken a hit.
